We are a family of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids - ages 12 to 9 months at the time of travel) We are planning a trip to Disneyland and we will need a suite. We have previously stayed at the Candy Cane Inn and loved it but the rooms will not accommodate us now. Any suggestions?

The 2 bedroom at staybridges.. is has 1 bdr with 2 queens and the 2nd is the master has a king and we also put 2 pack in plays in the master... 2 bathrooms and the main living has a small kitchen, a table and a livingroom with a fold out couch..

It has a ART stop right in front too :) Nice pool.. great HOT breakfast too!!!

IF we weren't staying onsite, we'd be there again VERY HAPPY with it! http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/sb/1/en/hotel/laxad

We are staying in a King Suite (or maybe it is called a Junior Suite?) at the Best Western Park Place Inn directly across the street. It is basically two rooms, each with a king bed and a queen pullout sofa. 2 bathrooms. kitchenette I think (or at least a microwave and fridge). They are guaranteed to be connecting rooms if you book them as the suite. If you book far enough ahead you can get it at a reasonable rate. I think we are paying $206 per night plus tax. Parking is extra, and you only get one space with the suite.

I will post a review in June.

Depends on how important the hotel is to you.

We are a group of 7 (3 adults and 4 children) and we are staying at the Anaheim Desert Inn in a suite that has two bedrooms (4 queen beds) 1 1/2 baths and a small sitting area. For our dates (Nov 3th-8th) it is costing us $99 per night.

The Desert Inn isn't very fancy but it is economical and right across the street from DLR. My family mainly uses hotel rooms for sleeping and showering, so we don't need anything fancy.

We stayed in the Deluxe One Bedroom Family Suite at the Camelot Inn and Suites. We loved how big the rooms were and also having the large table was great for breakfast in the room.

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions. We aren't looking for anything fancy but we do have a special needs child who will need her own sleeping space (room) as she doesn't sleep at night so can't share with others (doesn't wander but does like to talk/sing to herself which can be disturbing to others! I will look into each of the suggested places but closest to the park is probably best for us as with that many children one or two are going to need to have a nap!

I can say that the route for the ART at the staybridges was less then 20 mins.. they say the bus comes every 20 mins, either we were lucky or who knows, but hubby and I never waited more then 5 at either DLR or the hotel

I would try the anaheim desert inn family parlor suite. They are right across the street, and the best price for suites I have been able to find. This suite has 3 rooms essentially: 1 parlor with a couch bed and tv, (maybe for special needs child) and then 2 connecting rooms, each with 2 queen beds. It works great for a large family. Also 2 bathrooms, and 3 tv's!

I would look at RI Maingate, great hot breakfast, managers specials in the evening, they will do your grocery shop for you and an easy walk for most people. We did the Penthouse suite.

we are a family of six and we always stay at Anaheim Plaza. Connecting rooms with 4 queens, 2 bathrooms and right across the street from the parks. They have mini fridge and micro's in the rooms. The have a breakfast buffet on site. The best part is that it's CHEAP!!!! $89 for non-refurb. and $140 for the refurb. The refurb. rooms has a great view for the fireworks!! Enjoy Disneyland!!

I second the Residence Inn Maingate. We have stayed there the past three times at DLR and we are booked to go again in July. We like the penthouse suite as well. The kitchen is awesome and the full size fridge was a major plus. The breakfast was great considering it's included. It's a little ways from the parks but SO worth it for us. We actually really like the beds as well, very comfortable and the pool is decent. The BBQ/patio area was also nice to have. It kind of feels more like a community than a hotel. We really like it there, good luck on your quest!

PS - are you from Canada too? :flower3:

We're staying in the Carousel Inn View room with our lot of 7. It has 3 bedrooms and a lounge room. It's about $309 a night. We also stayed at HoJo's with 2 connecting rooms but that doesn't sound like it would work for you guys.

I think that RI maingate looks like it might be a good fit for us (like the full kitchen idea as meals for 7 can quickly add up!)

Jen&Trenton - Yep, Canadian and Disney crazy!

Nice to see more disney crazy canucks on here!

As for the RI Maingate, we didn't really have time to cook, but when we went to a few restaurants in the area we could take everyone's leftovers and fit them in the fridge. Even when we go over board with buying goodies and such leaving the park, we have to sometimes save it for the next day. Even had room for some cake one time because we were celebrating a birthday. We don't like seeing food go to waste in this family! The two bathrooms save a ton of time.

We are a family of 6 who also enjoyed staying at RI Maingate. We were able to walk to the parks in the morning with 4 young children. We opted to use the ART to come back at night, and that worked great. Nice breakfast and lots of space in the rooms.
