I'm sure this question is asked quite often and I've had a skim over the boards and in the hotel FAQs but can't find anything relating to it. When I last went to DLP I stayed at HNY but were a family of 2+2 then. Now as a family of 2+3 we want to go next year or the year after but where would we stay? We certainly can't afford 2 rooms, and Davy Crockett ranch is out of the question as we'll get the train, so how does a family of 5 stay at DLP? Please can you point me in the right direction, thank you.

There are family rooms in the Santa fe and Disneyland Hotel, but these are often quite pricey and you may find it's still cheaper to book two connecting rooms instead.

Alternatively, you could look at staying in one of the associated hotels as I know a few of them (definitely Explorers) have rooms for 5. All of the associated hotels have a free shuttle bus service, so you won't need to worry about driving or taxis.

We're a family of 5 and we're going to be staying at Sequoia Lodge, but I think that this is because my daughter is under 3.

We usually stay in My Explorers and have NEVER been disappointed. We only went for a Disney one this time as we weren't sure we'd be able to do it again without 2 rooms?

The kids think it's great, it has a couple of small play areas and a lovely pool, very clean (so I've always found), Disney shop, little cafe as well as an ok restaurant. The only issue is the shuttles (don't think it's walking distance)...Can be a scrum getting from the park, however never had a problem heading TO the park.

Last time we stayed there the boys had a little separate room which was great as they went to bed we could sit and chat.

HTH :woohoo:
