Family of 5 ....Which resort is best to purchase DVC?

Any suggestions as to which is the best place to purchase with a family of 5. I'm thinking about transportation and sleeping arrangements. My kids will be 8,6,4 this year. thanks.

It doesn't really matter. You would need a two bedroom unit at any of the DVC resorts. Many people get the two bedroom with just two kids.

You can cram yourself into a "studio plus" at BWV. This is a dedicated studio that has a small daybed where the connecting door would be. The daybed is suitable for a small child, it is five feet long.

You can use the DVC calculator on this site to see how many points would be needed. The specific resort would really be your preference.

BWV for someone that feel the high dues, tiny units and high points per night are worth dealing with for the location of the BWV. VWL....I haven't really been able to figure out the pluses for that resort yet. OKW for palatial units that have the lowest points per night cost, the lowest dues and just an all around great place.

If we didn't have liberals who would we make fun of?
VWL doesn't seem to have a lot of pluses. Should I wait for the new one at beach club next year or try to get a used OKW?

If money is no object and you don't mind waiting to pay $85 per point and the highest points per night of any DVC resort and you really like the Boardwalk area to stay in, BCV would be a good choice.

For us, OKW is as perfect as perfect gets. We always get the Grand Villa to stay in and bring different guests every year. The size and comfort of that unit, along with the ability to park outside your unit and never having anyone above you, really make OKW that only choice for us.
