Family Members - Seeing Villa Booking on MDE App

Hi Everyone. Sorry for all of the new DVC member questions

We decided to book a 3BR GV for our first welcome home trip to RVA in a few months and we have a few family members who will be joining us for the trip. I don't think my parents are going to visit the parks so I don't think it will be a big deal if they aren't linked in up to MDE.

Brother in-law and his family will be joining us and they will likely spend many days in the parks. We want to make sure they have access to early morning and late evening hours if possible. His wife manages the app for the family and we were able to get connected so I can see both parents and all of the kids from her profile.

I've linked the family to the reservation and also created accounts for my parents. How do we make it so she can see the booking on her app or does it not work like that?

You have to friend them and match up all the people in your MDE. If grandma doesn't have an account, it won't work at all. So you have to set grandma up somehow, or you need to control her account.

So you add the reservation with the number and your name. It will show you bubbles of all the people and try to match them in your friends.

I have had issues adding kids of friends, that can sometimes take a few days.

If you linked to family on MDE, they should be able to see it. Sometimes they have to log out and log back on. And then there's Disney IT. So maybe today isn't working at all.

Go to the web based MDE and see who is listed in your party for that trip, you may have to match names with accounts before they can see them. I don't know why but I need to do this on every reservation I make.
