Here is the scenario...if my DH and DD are in one cabin and my MIL, DD, DS and myself are in another cabin (which are both GTY cabins by the way)...when we get are cabin assignments can my DH and MIL just switch places? I don't mean at check in. I mean actually on the ship? If my DH and I are in seperate cabins and we both have a Disney Visa we can book seperate and each get a $50 credit. Am I right on this? We can have the reservations linked just as if we paid for them on one credit card...can't we? Am I missing anything? Just trying to save a buck! Has anyone done this? Thanks!

You betcha.

We had adjoining rooms for DD's (16 & 12) and DW and myself. Because of ages, rooms were listed as DW and DD 12, with another as DD 16 and myself.

We got to the rooms and put DD's together in one and DH and DW ;) together in the other.

Told the room steward what we were doing and it was "no problem mon".

Enjoy some time with your DH!

I sure hope so because in 6 days we are doing just that. My dd and I are booked in 1 room and DH and 2 ds's are booked in the adjoining room. We totally plan on putting the kids in 1 room and us in another and I highly doubt Disney really cares WHERE you are as long as you paid and have the right size lifejacket and have the right # of people for the room you want to be in ie:not having 5 people in a room for 3.

another question related to this: I understand that they can redo your KTTW cards on the ship to reflect this, is that correct?

For legal reasons, they "officially" have to have an adult in each room. In reality, they don't care how you arrange your people once you are on board. They will give mom/dad a "blank" KTTW to get into kid's room if desired. That means it won't get you on or off the ship, but will open the door of the other room.

They don't actually "redo" your kttw', since you are still assigned to the original room.

very shortly after getting in the room, I got two new room keys, one for each room.

I gave one new key to the person moved to each room. (note, it is a door opening key only and has no charging ability. The original key still does that.)

Worked like a champ.

Any reservations can be linked regardless of who paid

Have a great time!
