Family member checking into resort without magicband/app

I will be meeting a family member for our trip next month. I booked the resort, and manage their account through my account on the disney app. My family member's name is included on the reservation but they dont have a magicband (i will be giving them one I ordered for them once we meet up, but i dont arrive until much later at night.) nor do the use the disney app on their phone.

Should they choose to arrive at the resort in the afternoon before they arrive, would they have any issue checking in/being able to access the room? I am assuming they would be able to get a physical card to access the room.

Did you/they do online check in? That would take care of the question regarding whether they would be able to check in. Then once the text/email comes through that the room is ready they can go to the front desk and simply request a key card.

Their name is on the res so they should be fine, they will go to the front desk who will check their ID and give them a physical key card.

Concur you should do online check in to assure no issues. If you don't do online check in they would have to pay any remaining balance on the room and give a card for incidental holds in order to get the room key.

Did you/they do online check in? That would take care of the question regarding whether they would be able to check in. Then once the text/email comes through that the room is ready they can go to the front desk and simply request a key card.

I havent done the online check in yet, as was going to do that in person, but now that im planning this out I will probably go and do that beforehand to avoid any issues.

My sister forgot her Magic Band on a recent trip, and she didn't have any trouble checking in. They gave her a key card for the room.
