Family Magic Tour Question

We have booked this tour for our trip in July. I am really looking forward to it:) We didn't book it last year because our DD was 3 and a half then and I thought she would be too young to understand it fully, or even be able to keep up. But now I can't wait any longer so I booked it. She will be a whole year older and from what I've read of other 4 yr olds and their experience I think it could be the highlight of her trip.

One question: She is still only four ... Will I want to have a stroller handy for her? I've read that it is a lot of walking. Thanks:wave2:

This tour was the best Disney experience my family had. After Mary Poppins took my daughter's hand and sat next to her on "It's a Small World" she spoke with an English accent for most of the afternoon.:hyper:

pam66, you might need a stroller, but I don't think so. The walking is pretty slow, the kids are usually in a group up front, and the tour guide does an excellent job of including each child in the fun. My daughter was four at the time and there was no way I could have gotten her in the stoller during the tour-she was having too much fun.

I have this booked next month. I have a three year old, although an energetic little one. I think she'll want to stay with all the kids, but will I be able to push a stroller along just in case? I tried to book it near the first part of our trip so she wouldn't be tired yet. ;)

I had my 4yo on foot and 6 mo in the stroller. It is two hours of walking, but it's also a lot of stopping and reading and looking and dancing and jumping and twirling, so while I don't know your child, my guess is that some of the fun would be missed in the stroller, and she probably will be stimulated enough so she won't be tired. That said, my stroller was not an issue at all if you wanted one at the ready. The only place it was a hitch was at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, when the tour went in one door, and Happy, Sleepy (my boys) and I ran around to the door with the ramp.

Everything is accessible for those physically challenged, so there is usually a ramp right next to any stair you want to use. I was so worried about being a nuisance with the baby, but the folks I took the tour with were so nice that they wanted to re-route at one point because they thought I wouldn't be able to make it with the stroller...I said with confidence, "It's Disney, I'm sure there's a ramp" and there always was. I think they actually anticipate stroller use, because when I booked I asked if it would be a problem, and the CM said "We're fully able to accommodate strollers".

This, for me, was a great way to structure 2 hours with the kids when my hubby had to golf with a client. Spent the am in Disney and never once had to tell Happy that we couldn't ride ______ (fill in the blank) because Sleepy was too little.

We had thought about doing this, however were afraid that DD would be too young to enjoy it (2 1/2). Has anyone else taken a child this age?

She is pretty outgoing and energetic, but can at times switch on you and "pretend" to be shy. However, she is currently only 21 months, so it is hard to predict her actual personality as it will be in December.

How early do you have to reserve this if you do it?

I booked this a few weeks ago for my dad and my daughter, and they loved it. Peter Pan and Wendy were the ones waiting for them, they rode Small World at the end.
Remember, if you have an AP or a seasonal pass you get 10% off.

Is there different times of the day they have the tours or is it just in the mornings?

I think it's only at 10 a.m., meet at 9:45.
