Family Guy MOCKS Disney .. disgrace!!

Oh, and definitely don't watch South Park if you find Family Guy offensive.

Love South Park. Hate Family Guy. South Park was the original edgy animated comedy and they know how to do it. Never really liked Simpsons that much.

I watch and laugh could see why people are offrnded.
What I don't understand is how it could be nominated for best tv series when Simpsons in all those years never got a nomination.

Wow! One other person who thinks that making fun of anti-semitism is not funny. I suppose the rest of you aren't Jewish.

Animating someone beating up a Jew because they are anti-semitic isn't funny in my book either. Kind of sick actually to think that people can laugh off something like beating a Jew when the Holocaust wasn't that long ago. The last large group of people who thought beating Jews was funny was the Nazis.

So South Park is "edgy" comedy compared to Family Guy? You took a big pretense that you were offended because of the Disney segment and then another one on anti-Semitism..wasn't it South Park that had an episode in which Eric Cartman dressed like Hitler and said said anti-Semitic things.

Just saying.

Didn't see that one. But I am assuming Cartman was pretending to be Hitler who is a real person known to be a complete pyscho.

Family Guy, on the other hand pretended to be "in the hand" of Walt Disney and assumed he hated Jews and would kill them. Both of those are stupid for even choosing Nazis as being a joke. But Family Guy assumes Walt Disney (a dead guy who can't even argue for himself because he's ... dead) is a Jew hater and would choose to kill a Jew in his cartoons just because he hates Jews.

To the bolded part->How?

I watched one whole episode because, my friend is a big cartoon freak and she had a faily guy ring-tone so I assumed she loved the show.

Brian had fallen in love with the in-law's dog sea-breeze, but in the end the dog was apparently cheating on Brian, and had puppies with Ted Turner.

It was such an idiotic and baseless thing to say that it wasn't offensive. But, it was such an idiotic and baseless thing to say it wan't funny either.

The Producers was funny. Just randomly calling Disney an anti-semite? Not so much.

Well I apologize if you do not see how it is funny, so I will break it down. The fact that so many complete morons believe... and I mean truly believe that Disney was an Anti-Semite is ridiculous. As I stated previously, you don't need half a brain to know it was more than likely not true. However, it is well known that Classic disney animations and films were, by today's overwhelmingly smothering standards, racist. Walt himself oversaw the production of most of these films in which black people, native americans, chinese, and jews were often portrayed in a satirical manner. But when Walt was alive, that was the world. There was no need for such PCness. People had thicker skins.

It is funny to think that about the fact that Walt could have been an anti-semite because the idea is so absolutely absurd. I hope that helped you understand

So, you think that making fun of anti-semitism isn't funny, yet you love South Park... ? Ookay then.

Wait, I did see that episode of South Park and if you think what Family Guy did was bad, then don't see that episode. Besides, throughout the entire series Cartman is constantly bashing Kyle for being Jewish.

Mc.Farlane had not assumed that Walt Disney hated Jews, the rumor did not originate with him but that rumor had been around even when Disney was alive. If you think closer to it, McFarlane could be pointing out the stupidity of that rumor, the fact that it is too stupid to believe. If people watch Family Guy and think "It must be true then! Disney was a racist!" Then, simply put, they are nitwits.

People make fun of others who are dead a lot. Have you ever seen a joke on Lincoln? Should we not make the joke because he's dead. Jokes are not true, they are a humorous take on something.

And the episodes where they intimate Tom Cruise is gay, or Mel Gibson is an anti-semite?

You can't have it both ways. PErsonally I find both shows hilarious. But you can't get all bent out of shape over anti-semitism on one show and embrace it on another.

I think you are getting way to hyper of a tv show. I am Italian. Family Guy had an episode about the mafia and had very stereotypical Italians on it. I thought it was really funny. Does that mean all Italians are in the Mafia? No. It is just funny. Seth McFarlane makes fun of everyone! He is Irish. Do you know how many times he shows the Irish as a bunch of drunks?

IMO, Family Guy is one of the funniest shows on television. I thought that episode with Disney was the best show yet! Family Guy just keeps getting better. :happytv:

It is very simple. If you don't like a show, don't watch. :thumbsup2

I think your being too sensitive. I am blonde...you know how many dumb blonde jokes I have to listen to?????

By the by, since you are a Southpark fan. What'd you think of the episode a few weeks ago with Mickey Mouse and the Jonas Brothers?

Southpark has taken it's fair share of jabs at BOTH Disney, AND the Jews.

Being a white male who loves the outdoors, I feel as if the character Elmer Fudd mis-represented me completely. I'm not bald, don't make that stuttering laugh, and I especially don't hate da wabbit. Just plain wrong. :sad2:

Seriously, it is FAMILY GUY! Offensive humor is their whole gimmick... And as far as Disney episodes go, the one where Peter takes Stewie to WDW was much better. Stewie wanders off and ends up as a slave in the Small World ride, there's a reference to the "good old fashioned family racism" of the crows in Dumbo, and their escape is straight out of Indiana Jones, complete with Michael Eisner chanting "Kali-Ma" and trying to rip out Peter's heart. Funny, funny stuff.

:rotfl: This thread is so funny I think I will get Seth to make a Family Guy episode out of it!!! :rotfl:

I am wondering if Cleveland's new show has started yet? :confused3

Not sure why you are apologizing? Do you write Family Guy?

I'm also not sure where you are finding your morons... "so many of them" who think Disney was an anti-semite. I've never heard Disney called an anti-semite before and I'm a pretty big Disney freak. This reference would fall flat with everyone I know.

Even if there were hoards of accusers, where is the funny part? Just like the Ted Turner bit its baseless and idiotic, so no laughs.

A simple absurd statement doesn't equal humour. Would saying the sky is green get alot yuks in your neck of the woods?

The Producers is funny, Southpark (while not my cup of tea) is funny. They actually bother with humour.

Saying Ted Turner had puppies?
Insisting Walt Disney was an anti-semite?

Not funny. Just empty statements.

And the PCness? Its not that everybody had a thick skin back then, sometimes it was that they didn't know any better.

Also Family Guy isnt the only show that makes fun of Disney.
When my nephew and niece were over one night we watched and an episode of Icarly that blantantly jabbed at Disney although they didnt say Disney by name, you could tell who they were talking about...including stealing a supposedly frozen head. :rotfl:
I haven't seen many episodes of that (it comes on after Spongebob sometimes :rolleyes1) but I have seen that one and it's hilarious!

I don't want to make any response to your main points (especially since the original post may or may not have been trolling for kicks) but I did want to say that nearly everyone, disney freaks or not, knows about the anti-semite rumor. It's nearly as prevalent as the frozen head rumor (both of which have definitely appeared on Futurama, if not the Simpsons and South Park...I can't remember for sure right now) It's honestly part of pop culture, and I do think that since they're both obviously ridiculous they definitely have their place being mocked on shows like these. Putting it into an episode of Family Guy doesn't mean Seth McFarlane believes it, it means it was a pop culture reference he found funny. End of story.

I'm sorry, but I have never understood the concept of reposting the exact same idea that about 10 other people have already stated. Piling on much?? Trying to inflate your post count? Enjoy beating dead horses?

I get it. Family Guy does this all the time. It was a joke. Blah blah blah. 10 other people said it already. Geesh

Hahaha. This thread is still up? ROFL!!

Now I know how easy it will be to troll these boards in the future.

So you start a thread and then get all bent out of shape when people don't jump on your bandwagon? Seriously? If you want to post only your opinion, start a blog page on your own site. Otherwise, prepare for the dead horse parade.

I gotta admit, when Family Guy first came out, I was like this show is stupid. But after a bout of the flu and a weekend of nothing on tv, I watched my g/f's box set. Never laughed so hard in my life. Like previously stated, you have to take it with a grain of salt. In real life, I don't find pedophiles funny, making fun of homosexuals and mentally disabled people funny, or even beating your wife funny, but in cartoon world, it' hilarious. I think if the show didn't make fun of everyone, it wouldn't be as funny or popular.
