Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

I think the sunset pic is pretty good. Juliana looks a little nervous in that Soarin' pic! Nice end to the long day!

That's an awesome fountain pic! Yay for Juliana riding Soarin!! I'm glad she liked it. Looking forward to hearing about the birthday party and the pirate room.

She recently went to Nuremberg for a friend's wedding, and probably took them then- knowing she would help me out later by posting them. Isn't she thoughtful?
Yes very thoughtful! You better not get lost!!!!!

No, normally I don't just take pics of random aspects of everyday life here at home! :goodvibes Liesa is right. I was travelling to a friend's wedding and therefore had my camera with me. Sitting on the train I thought I could kill some time by taking a few pictures and then I had more and more ideas of what could be useful... :rolleyes1 It was fun, but I got some stares from people as well. I wonder what they were thinking when I was taking a picture of the garbage cans :lmao:
They probably thought you were some kind of crazy tourist!

I don't know anyone that would take pics of garbage cans..... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Great update! I think Soarin is a great ride for kids to try out more adventurous things. While it has a certain thrill to it to be in the air, it is still very mild and nothing scary happens at all! :thumbsup2 I am glad that Juliana enjoyed it.

She loved it! Maybe next time I can get her on Splash Mountain or a roller coaster.... BTMRR???? (If her mother will allow it lol)

Well, at least you draw the line at the backs of restroom stalls' doors. :lmao: Even if they do have poo facts on them.
I happen to know someone who takes pictures INSIDE the bathroom... you might know him too! ;)

Great update, Tim. I cannot believe how quickly Ana is growing up. Good for her doing Soarin' and wanting to do it again.

Saw your pictures on the boat this weekend...she makes a great Captain! :)

Awwww... she's growing up, all right! Now there's another Soarin' lover out there in the world :cool1: Can't wait to hear how you liked the pirate room... and CBR in general. It's one of the resorts I have on my list of visiting some time... and would love to hear whether or not the pirate room is worth it. Great pictures :thumbsup2
She talks about Soarin' all the time. When we got home she told everyone she rode it.

CBR is coming up in the next few updates.

NO pictures of the tacos??

I really like the orange fountain picture, too!!
No... I was slacking. We were so hungry and the kids wanted to eat. No time for a picture.

Thank you... it came out OK. I think I should of took it at a different angle though. :confused3

Nothing worse than walking into a place at Disney and getting hit with...the stench. :lmao:

You got some beautiful night shots, there, but I'm most fond of the picture of the three of you on Soarin'. Juliana looks like the perfect combination of why am I doing this and oh I'm so excited. Too cute. :goodvibes

Sounds like a great evening and good way to wrap up a park day with your friends. :thumbsup2
I don't know what the smell was.... I hope it is gone by now!

We tried to explain what happened in the ride but she didn't really understand. She wasn't scared once it started. She said her favorite part was flying. :)

A supposed relaxing day turned out to be another commando day. Oh well, we had to live it up!

Very cool. Growing up indeed. It's neat when they start to experience some of the bigger attractions, and like them too.
Thank goodness we didn't traumatize her like we did a few years ago taking her on the Barnstormer. I think she has forgotten about that though.:rolleyes1

Thank you. I dont have kids I am actually taking my sister for her 1st visit. She is 15 but I think she will enjoy it

Woops... sorry about that. :flower3:

I think you will enjoy it there. It really is a fun time and the stepsisters are the best!!

What a wonderful end to the day! So proud of Juliana for braving Soarin! :woohoo:

How nice of you to buy Mel that garden gnome and windchime. I've been eyeing the Mickey garden gnomes for sometime myself. As a matter of fact, I have a long shopping list for our trip next year! I guess I better start saving now.

I can't wait to see pics of the Pirate room. Sorry to see Dave, Branda and the kids go, though... :guilty:
I will have to take a pic of the gnome. He is sitting in the front of our house. Did I ever post the pic of Ana opening her picture? I'm not sure if I did. (Can I blame old age? LOLOL)

It was sad leaving them.... but Mel, Juliana, and I still had 2 1/2 more days!

I think I waited a bit too long to take the sunset pic.. It was almost dark by the time I took it.

I think she might of been a tad bit nervous....

This is the never ending TR. I am ready to do some MAJOR updates and will (hopefully) have this done by August 1st!!!!!!!!!!

There's nothing like a wonderful evening in Epcot! Yay, Juliana for riding Soarin'
It was a great day/night. Wish we could have made Branda happy and stayed for Illuminations. There is always next time!

She is growing up fast! It makes me happy and sad at the same time.

We had a blast! Hello to you my new 'friend'!!!!!!!;)

I ended up being this way, quite unintentionally, on our last trip. It was just that my DS (then 4.5) was so into doing everything, my DH and I were stoked! We ran around like we haven't in years trying to get him on rides because he was actually up for it. :thumbsup2

Don't blink because you will turn around and she is all grown up. It seems like yesterday that my daughter hugged Minnie for the first time and now she is about to be a Junior in high school. It is a fun ride so enjoy every minute of it.

Really enjoying your trip.

That is awesome! I can see us running around like that next time!

Man that is a scary thought! I think the older you get the faster time goes. I can't believe Juliana is 4 already.

Thanks for sticking with my TR after a 2(almost) month hiatus.:rolleyes1

Glad your little aviator liked Soarin'!
YES Ma'am!!!!!! She is still talking about it, so it must of made a good impression! :goodvibes

your evening sounds just perfect and I'm with everyone else, it's a pretty sunset pic! How wise, and impressive that you called it a day before kids melted down even though you missed Illuminations. :thumbsup2

What did you think of the Taqueria? Hearing decent things about the food, the Cantina was pretty icky before...wondering if it's a valid lunch option for our trip.

Oh, yes - please do post a picture of the Mickey gnome. I'd love to see it. And I don't believe that I saw the picture of Juliana opening her picture. Please post that one, too!

Wow how brave Juliana is, I'm so glad she rode Soarin' gives me hope for getting my older son on it. :rolleyes1

It sounds like you all had a fun day at Epcot, can't wait to see pictures of your CBR Pirate room.

Thank you! I guess we have finally gotten smarter. :rotfl::rotfl:

When we went, Taqueria was no more than a mobile stand. They were still building the actual restaurant....but the food was decent. How can anyone mess up Mexican food?

GOOD LUCK!!!!! I hope he rides it! Maybe you can get him on it by not telling him exactly what the ride is.... :confused3

It was fun...

CBR coming up soon! :goodvibes

I'll have to take the picture of the gnome tomorrow but I do have the pics of Juliana opening up a picture that Heather (IBelieveInTheMagic) sent her. Heather was selected for the Mickey's Mom Club Party and was sent a box of goodies for her party. She so gracefully offered to send Juliana one of the pictures she received.

Hey Tim,

It probably feels like I've abandoned you... I"m sorry, I"ve been sorta "absent" lately here; really, I will get caught up and post some REAL comments as soon as I can get an uninterupted while on the computer. Lately it's just not happening. :sad2: Just know, I HAVE read everything, and am still with ya, just not as wordy lately. IYKWIM.
