Family Day! What are you doing?

Three of the 5 of us are going into Buffalo to do some GF shopping (the selection is so much better there) and to "test drive" the hotel we'll be at before Disney in May!

Hmmmm...that's a good idea. DD wants to get a new bathing suit from Justice for our March Break trip. I'm in need of my fav yogurt only available in the US. Now we will have to consult Daddy....I like when he drives as I can spend more money having the extra body in the car. :rolleyes1

Next Monday is Family Day (and another day off school for the kids ). Do you have special plans? Just gonna kick back & relax?

My husband will either be home the Monday or Sunday. Whichever day, we are going to take the kids to Boston Pizza for dinner and see Gnomeo & Juliet afterwards. We have a $25 GC for both BP and Cineplex, plus 2 free kids movie tickets so that should be a cheap fun evening!

If hubby is home on the Monday, then I found a conservation area out here that will have a free family snowshoeing day. We get to borrow snowshoes, explore the trails and drink hot chocolate. None of us have been on snowshoes before so this should be good. Hopefully next weekend will be much milder!

No Family day for us Quebecers :sad2:

we finally decided...
The kids get a 5 day weekend (thanks to yet another Professional development 2 days for the teachers) so saturday we'll go skating, sunday we have the Heritage Classic outdoor game (flames vs Montreal) and Monday we have Hitmen outdoor game tickets. Here's to hoping for the weather to actually be nice!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Just back from the Bruce County Museum where they had all kinds of free events for Family Day. Turned out to be a beautiful sunny (but cold) day and we have lots of fun with the kids.

Beats working!

We have just been lounging around the house. We had a really nice breakfast of pancakes from scratch and then we watched a couple of old movies. We had planned to do something but after walking the dog this morning and then shoveling snow we thought it sounded good to do absolutely nothing. It's not often that we don't have to go somewhere.

We went to a Marlie's game. There was a good-sized crowd, I think thanks to the Family Day weekend. It's always fun to catch NHL-wannabes (on their way up, and on their way down) for a decent ticket price.
