Good morning from Castaway Cay!

Thanks again everyone for all of the information—heading off the ship shortly and I’ll report back and try to post some pictures when I make it back home with better Wi-Fi.

I do wish they had smaller areas such as what they have at the water parks. Set up over by the family beaches, at the back of the beach, closer to tree lines. Even if they had 3 or 4 of those for rent. Those would be great. Something that provides a small area, basic shelter (roof w/loungers) Yet okay with being on the family beach with all. Would love that!

We have a cabana on our upcoming magic cruise. We only had 1 one other time but with a napping toddler it was so nice.
I think I remember there are beach toys in the cabana . Can anyone confirm this?

just left Castaway Cay 30m ago— they did have a bucket of sand toys (one bucket, a handful of molds, a rake, shovel and a sifter).

I realize this was a year ago but how was your experience. We just lucked into a cabana for our very first Disney cruise next week!

We loved it—but unless you have a kid who needs to nap or just want to chill, you may not need/want it for your first ever visit to CC. It’s mostly a place to hang out in the quiet and the shade with a calm beach a few steps away. We have now had cabanas twice and find that when we get them we tend to spend more time hanging out at them instead of exploring the island (biking/snorkling/serenity bay).

Castaway Cay is one of my favorite places on earth and I’m sure you’ll have a great day as long as you get decent weather. Happy to answer specific questions if I can but our last cabana was almost 9 months ago.
