Family 1st trip to WDW ...

Ok so the next 3 weeks are crazy for me. I have to work right at 40 hours every week. I usually try to work about 37. So 3 hours out of my week. I have MOnday and Tuesday night this week free, next Sunday free, Monday next week, and then the Sunday before we leave on the following Friday. How am I going to get everything done. My husband won't let me put suitcases out until the Sunday before we leave, so I just keep stacking stuff in the storage closet.

I printed a bunch of stuff yesterday and the day before. All of our touring plans, maps of the area and getting there, confirmation stuff for hotels and the condo once we are in Orlando. Even some menu's of places I plan on us eating. An a ultimate packing list to go over and make sure I didn't forget anything.

I just can't wait.

Just found your PTR and am excited to join in! Sounds like a fun trip you have planned - how nice to be going to WDW for the first time in so many years! Looking forward to more!

Plan looks good - just make sure you save room for drinks at England...best bar in Epcot!

Still not sure how I did it but I wiped my Iphone clean tonight. No numbers no anything. which means I lost everything in my calendar, my notes, which were all touring plans. I'm so frustrated. I must have clicked the wrong thing. I'll have to re enter all that info. It stinks.

Your Epcot plans look great!

Sorry you lost all your info in your phone! That is a fear of mine so I keep everything written down on good ole paper. I hope you are able to recover everything!

Hi enjoyed reading your pre trip report, you will have fun!
If you can try to catching the opening cemeony at the MK. I just loved it!! My first trip was in Sept 2006, I was 51:lmao:
Have you checked our any of the menus here are the DIS ? Some of the counters meals might be enough to share. I found that with the heat I was not able to eat alot at one time. Also bakery at the MK has great breakfast items that are big enough to share, my guys loved to eat here.
I think you said you would be eating at Rose and Crown in EPCOT?I have heard that if you get a table on the patio near time for illuimations you can see if from there. Ride spaceship earth its really enjoyable.
Looking forward to reading more of your plan.

That is a really pretty picture of your daughter.

WElcome to all the new people following me. I haven't posted any more touring plans because I'm still working on the phone. How frustrating is that!!! Big time !! I will be posting alot over the weekend I hope.

My ticker says 11 days and Im having a rush I've stuff to do. I've done all this planning thinking ok I'll just be able to sit back and relax. but really I'm sorta running out of days to get stuff done. tonight I dusted and vaccumed the bedroom, cleaned both bathrooms really well not just the once over and mopped the kitchen floor. Tomorrow night I just have to vaccum and dust the living room and cleaning out the fridge right before we leave. I will do a small clean everything next Thursday before we leave but most of heavy cleaning is done.

Just checked the hours for our visit and they have changed the hours added 1/2 hour the night we are at dhs and moved fantamic also a 1/2 hour later.

and animal kingdom is open 1 hour later on Friday. Yeah for us:cheer2:

Good to know! I'd better recheck our hours - maybe they've changed something for us too!

:scared1: Hour changes freak me out. Any changes at all actually. :rotfl: I better start checking the hours for our trip. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm down to just 8 days. Wow it seems like I booked this trip forever ago. Tonight I went shopping for the kids goody bags for in the car. When they were little I always had plenty of stuff in a bag for each of them to occupy them. We have had to change what goes in the bag as the kids have gotten older, it isn't as cheap as it once was. This was proably the last goody bag I'll make for DS he is 17 and can't wait to go off on his own. I can't belive I have a grown son. Wow.

Well everything is coming at me quick now. I have a huge pile of stuff in the bedroom that needs to be divided up and put in suitcases ect. Im getting Emily out of school at 12:30 on Friday and getting Nick about 1:45 and we are trying to leave by 3pm. That may or may not happen. We can't hardly wait. We being Em and I, Jason and Nick are not that excited. I just hope Nick can be nice for 7 days. Itll be interesting to see how it all works out.

Anyway so much to do, gotta go to my bffand get my B12 shot, pick up movies, and then Id like to get a pedicure if I have time. I have two more tanning sessions I have to work 3 more days and church on Wednesday night and then all the stuff that just goes with leaving town, you know clean out frig, go to bank to get cash (alot of cash lol) um take nick to practice tomorrow night, cook dinner tomorrow and Thursday night which means dishes to do. Take the dog to kennel. The packing is the part that has me a little crazy. I'm completley overwhelmed. I don't know where to start I have about a billion things that I don't normally pack stuff for the condo and then ponchos and banaids and headache meds and do you take those with you to the park everyday and have to lug around a bag. ANd what about my camera? how do I want to carry it. I bought a new camera bag but haven't decided for sure if I like it.

Sorry for the vent. I'll post an update later in the week. Maybe with a picture of all the JUNK i'm taking. 4 pairs of shoes Wow. that is to many

Hi Just take a deep breathe Do you feel the magic? Remember you are going to the happiest place on earth, it going to be a wonderful trip!!!!!!

Make a list to help with packing. Try to get other to help pack their stuff. Check to see what might be avaiable at the codo. Make some smaller day packs for taking to the parks, with a few first aid items, so you don't have to take the whole package.
Do'nt forgot about Photopass, where Cm in the park will take your picture for you.
Have a magicial trippixiedust:

So tonight I'm packing. Mostly (is that a word?) Everything is packed but my son will only wear jeans so I'm waiting for those to dry. ANd in the morning I'll pack the toiletries and stuff like that. It still is kinda overwhelming to me if we were flying I'd have to pair way down. The count stands at 1 back pack, 1 duffel bag, 1 camera/laptop bag, 1 extra lg suitcase, 1 lg suitcase, 1 medium suitcase, 1 cosmetic bag, a cooler and a crate with food in it. Do I really need all that stuff? I guess I do its on my list of stuff. And its just 1 day until we leave. WOW
