The Ovation channel is showing a marathon of the old TV show Fame Wow, was it ever cheesy. I can't believe I used to watch this every week.

omg! I don't know what the Ovation channel is, but if I had it, I might be turning it on to see an episode. My sister and I used to watch that all the time. She used to like Jesse! When my dad took us to NYC on vacation forever ago we saw the girl that played Doris walk through the lobby of the hotel we were staying in and we were so excited

Verizon Fios has it I work in NY and I swear I never see anyone famous

The show was cheesy but so was everything else in the 80's Remember the commercial "it's not easy being cheesy", that was sooooo 80's!

Have you really never seen anyone famous? I've seen quite a few and I'm not even a star watcher and wouldn't know a famous athlete or non rockstar if I tripped over one. I saw Joan Rivers on 5th ave, most of the cast of Smallville and Kerri Russell in the Museum of Natural History, Yoko Ono upper West side, and last year Matt Dillon was walking behind us just outside of Washington Square Park and Mikey Rourke walking his dog in the Village the same day. Goodness knows how many people I've missed because being a real life NYer I tend to ignore people

This totally made me laugh because when I was working downtown I never saw anything or anyone either, except those double decker buses filled with tourists who used to take pictures of us when we were off to get lunch. Can't tell you how much I'm missing that lately... sigh, the next time you see one could you give a little wave back for me. I seem to be a bit homesick

I can't imagine how many tourists' pictures I'm in

I'll give them a wave, but I'm not guaranteeing what kind

Sorry you're homesick I was unhappy when I was transferred downtown, now I can't imagine going back to midtown
