has anyone been or heard of Doctor's Cave Beach? we were researching and Jaital Tours came up for an excursion from the pier to this beach in montego bay. the price is so reasonable is it too good to be true? DCL no longer offers a beach break only Rose Hall for $139 pp. we are 4 adults that would be soexpensive for just a day. We cruise in August on the Fantasy.

Never heard of it, but one area of caution, Montego Bay is about 75-90 minutes from the Falmouth port, please exercise great caution in booking non DCL excursions. Just my $.02

As the previous poster cautioned, MoBay is just shy of 1.5 hrs from the port. Travel in Jamaica can be nerve wracking...especially when you're on a time crunch. Traffic in the small towns is unpredictable and it's not unheard of to be stuck behind a slow-moving truck for miles.
That being said, I have been to Doctor's Cave Beach. Unlike Negril, MoBay's beaches tend to be smaller and more crowded. Doctor's Cave Beach is frequented by locals and tourists alike. There is a small bar/restaurant that serves great seafood right on the beach. There is a fee to utilize the beach and facilities.
