Falling for a Mouse! My first attempt at a PTR

Sooo I got a early birthday present! DH bought me Photoshop Elements, (it was on sale and there was no way he was making me wait to play!) so now I am playing and learning that! I am having a blast (well last night, I was screaming and ready to throw it out!!LOL), going to attempt to make some journals for my boys and a friends girls (whose trip over laps ours a bit!).

I hope it turns out and if there are any people out there that can give hints... I will gladly take them!

Another week has gone by and I am figuring out PSE finally. I discovered once I got the hang of using templates its not to hard. But have yet to try and make my own! I have to learn all that layering stuff first.

This is one of my fun things....

and then I did these as well.

I am planning on making the kids some shirts with transfers, and then a project this summer is making a Mickey Tie Die shirt. Oh and Ds will have to sport a shirt made for his birthday.

We went camping for a friends 30th birthday on friday, first time the trailer has been out for the year, and I am glad we had it. It was COLD! Plus DH is sick, poor guy has a sinus infection I am sure of it! We are a pretty healthy family, and do not get sick often so when it hits its NASTY!

Well aren't you just a clever chicky!!!

You have done a wonderful job with your new PSE and if this is just the start, I can't wait to see what else you will come up with!!!:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear DH is sick:sick: and I hope he is on the mend soon:)

I too would like to make the tye dye shirts as DD has said she will actually wear one of those!

Buying my AP this week.........so excited as I will be able to get our tickets when they finally announce the dates for the big parties!!!

Lots more fun planning to go....................yay:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I am thinking I will maybe buy a AP for myself as well! I want a reason to go back during the next year! I just have to bite the bullet and do it!

So nothing to exciting happening here. Had a good mothers day, pretty much just sat around and read my book. Which resulted in me having to clean up yesterday since that didn't magically get done!! Turned the big 33 today, YAHOO!! I am still excited to have a birthday ask me again when I turn 40! :scared1:

Come on MNSSHP dates come out I want to see if we can go so I can start planning costumes!!LOL

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY:bday:

I still love birthdays too and I will be 45 this year:scared1: ( oh my that does look scary!!! ) But, as I have the Peter Pan syndrome and that very same outlook on life, I will be looking forward to them for many more years to come! After all, age is only a number.......right???!!!:thumbsup2

I should be getting my AP sometime in the next month or so. Just had a huge electricity bill so the good old AP has been put on the back burner for just a little while longer:sad2:

Have been busy eBaying for things to go in DD's surprise Halloween/airport bag. I even found Mickey and Minnie playing cards ( had to get some of those for me too! ) and just some other bits and pieces. I wish we had the merchandise available over her in Australia like they do in the U.S, so thank goodness for eBay!!!

Only 160 sleeps to go for us.....................not that I'm counting at all:rotfl:

Have a great day!!!

Thank you! I have to say I love ebay so I can get some things you have there we don't seem to have! Like the best ever pee targets for the toilet!! Only ever seen them on ebay!

Happy birthday!

I used to be really optimistic about getting older... or maybe I just always acted younger than my age.

Yahooo bought my AP (just the deluxe one) and the passes for DH and kids since prices are reported to be going up tomorrow!

I figured it cost me only $130 more then I was already paying, I will get 10% off merchandise and food, so really in the end it shouldn't cost me to much. A family of 6 eating and playing in the parks adds up!

Almost everything is booked. I have a quote on the scooter rental and still need to purchase the shuttle tickets, then that is it! We will be done.

:cool1:

I decided that I haven't booked anything yet because I have a fear of commitment!:rotfl:

Oh I have set my calendar to go off the day I can book my reservation for Plaza inn! I wanted to do at least one, and this one looks like fun!

One thing I need to research is strollers. I have a sit and stand but he is getting to big for it, so I am thinking that I will need to get a newbut inexpensive one.

Strollers are not my area of expertise... alas I have no kids. But when I was a kid my dad always made us kids walk everywhere. I don't remember complaining much about walking. It was more complaining about "eww I have to ride with HER!?" HAHA

Hi Erin!

Just checking up on you!

Have been busy checking out different things to surprise the DD with when we get over there! I am going to cotact the Dream makers and have a surprise waiting when we arrive!:wizard:

A bit bummed at the moment as the airfare prices keep going down in cost Australia to the USA. Also, not too sure if I will be staying at the Carousel at the end of the holiday as am I none too keen on what I call a "walk up" motel. I like the Ho Jo for the security and having a whole building with corridors inside, rather than one that the door opens straight to the outside world. I will do a tad more investigating to see how I go!!!

Hope things are well on your side of the world. Just started our winter here and is a bit on the chilly side!!!

Just seem to be going through the motions now.........get up, go to work, get up, go to work......etc etc........this trip can't come fast enough! I think when I can actually book and confirm some ADR's things will start to move a bit quicker. Oh, and when our dates becme visible on the Disneyland calendar!!!:woohoo:

Thanks for checking in! I have been slacking a bit this week!

Actually it has been a rough couple of weeks on May 19th one of my fellow officers with the cadets went out fishing with a buddy and did not return home. They recover them last monday, and the funeral is tomorrow. It was a hard week, as I have been though this with a close family friend and to have the reminder, was not the best way to spend the week.

However not they have been found and there is some closure for the family. Thoughts and prayers are with them each and every day as the recover from this blow.

Also my Mom has been here for the last week. She had a week off chemo, and spent the time here. It was good visiting with her, I sure do miss her when she is gone. Its hard being so far from her, only a short time till the boys are out of school and I can spend a few weeks down with her.

It is my sons birthday next week, and he asked to have a Water gun Party, thankfully the weather was great and the kids had a great time, so did Chad and I!

Heres some shots from the party.

The Cake! Man this was my first attempt in a very long time, it turned out, thank goodness!

I'm glad you got to spend some time with your mom. I know how precious that time is. :grouphug:

The party looked great! Everyone looks like they are having so much fun.

Tomorrow is going to be a really sad day for you guys. I think there was something in the air, because, as you know, two guys went missing in my area too around the same time. It's been really depressing around here recently. Last week, I think, a 20 year old was killed on his motorcycle (the other driver ran a stop sign). An old, loving customer (who was mentally challenged) of mine passed. And I think there were two couples who lost their babies.

Keep your head up though! I'm working really hard to pull myself out of the gutter I've fallen into since my dad died.

Ok, I am going to join in on your fun and follow along. Sounds like things are coasting until the big departure. Good luck and I can't wait to read all about it.

It was a great time! At the end, Chad came after me and soaked me, then I grabbed a gun and we went out together and got the kids after we soaked each other of course! E was trying to be on dads side and gang up on me... till we turned, chad held him while I grabbed the bucket we used as a refill station, and over the head it went!

Welcome aboard! :woohoo:I have been trying to plan and such just things are getting in my way (darn everyday life outside of Mickey!!), but I will be back in the planning mode soon, Only 18 more school days then summer vacation!

Look.... I have a second ticker!!!!!!

A highschool friend and I are looking at going now to see the Christmas lights! I really hope we are able to do it, I have a babysitter in place now, just watching prices. They are pretty much as high as they usually go for flights, I am hoping that there will be a seat sale soon!

Other then that, this is all that is new. Busy week again for Cadets, we have our Annual Parade and inspection, so we have been working on that, I joined a hip hop class, so I have been doing that on Wednesdays (so much fun! Wish I danced as a child!).

Chad leaves in July for the month for work, so I will be a single parent for 1 full month during the summer...YIKES!

OK after a trip into Edmonton today, I am freaking a little about C and how he is going to do.... terrible 2's have really hit and I am thinking this will be a hard trip to take. No clue.

On a happy note we found a stroller in a garage sale that is perfect for the trip, its a graco one that is used for all the different ages, so we bought it. now we need to find a carseat (or at least I will check ours) to see what will be accepted on the plane. We will need to strap him down to keep him from going crazy on the plane!

Hi:wave2:

Just popping in before I leave for work...........eww, I would rather stay home and stalk the boards all day!!!:rotfl:

I don't envy you re the terrible two's. I am sure you will come up with loads of things to keep him buy on the plane! How long is your flight? Ours is around 13 - 14 hours from Sydney to LA! Such a long time to be up in the air, but so worth the trouble!!!

I am even more excited about going now as Cars Land truly looks absolutely fantasmagorical!!!!!:cool1:

And, I have been looking around for a while and will be purchasing a new DSLR camera to take with me so there will some amazing pics to post! I used to work as a photographer ( many moons ago ), but got a tad lazy when all the fabulous easy point and shoot cameras came out. So, because we have a fair bit of time before we go to brush up on my techniques, and we have 16 glorious days in the parks, I should think I will be back to full swing in no time at all with some amazing pics! I will be especially happy to get some decent shots of parades, Fantasmic and World of Colour, oh and the fireworks!!!

Glad to hear you found the perfect stroller!!!:cool1:

Have a great day:flower3:

So a lot has happened over the last few weeks. I was looking into becoming a travel agent a few months ago, and was talking to a few agencies around here, then one had asked me to come in and see her in person. One thing has lead to another, and I am currently doing courses, learning about the ins and outs of different places, then in September I will hopefully be working Part time for them. I am so excited! Today I started my Disney course, so we will see how that goes. The DLR and WDW portion was easy (thanks to a lot I learned on here!) and now I am into the DCL side.

I am at the 100 day post, so double digit dance for me tomorrow! I can hardly wait, I will be sure to do some crazy silly dance that my kids just roll their eyes over!
