Fall/Winter room only discount, why only 25% off for Animal Kingdom?

Does anyone know why Animal Kingdom is only discounted 25% for the Fall/Winter room only? It seems to be almost the same price as the other Deluxes, and it is usually considerably less.

No reason that I can think of. The AP discount is the 25% as well. WL is grouped (similar rates as AKL) with the 40% off but not many if at all of the lesser costing rooms!

I am going to assume that AKL gets booked up faster for the deluxe resorts since its base price does seem to be a bit less than some of the others.

Maybe they felt they did not need to offer as big of a discount at this resort as the others due to the bookings that are already made.

It was a bit strange to see things done the way they did.

It's 30% for passholders. My AKL/CR split stay is 30% off AKL and 42% off at CR.

It is odd but I assume it's because bookings were already high enough.

Deluxes and DVC were 42% off for AP holders except for Grand Floridian which was 35% and AK which was 30%.

The folks at Touring Plans are saying it's because it's a lower level of Deluxe. Of course, that doesn't explain why the Grand Floridian is discounted the same as a moderate or why the WL wasn't included as well.

Yeah, love the TP guys, but I don't think that's the case in this instance for the exact reasons you posted.

I know AKL rates for January are less than WL. A std club level at AKL is $365 a night, while a std club at WL is $425 per night. Even with the difference in percentage discounts, it ends up being only $90 more for us to stay the four nights at AKL, so we chose that.
