Fall PIN Codes

At the end of July, first week august so I called Disney this morning to add another room to our reservation. We are staying at ASMu, now with 2 other families. For the fun of it, I inquired about pin codes and sure enough, there is one attached to my husbands name ( we have different last names). Not sure why it's attached to his name? I book the trips, pay with my CC etc.

Anyways, the pin is good for the fall and I'd love to have another week in DW so I will consider it. POR is our favourite resort so we would stay there. Now the weird part, I just replied to a post in the restaurant thread late last week I think, about how I don't think I'd do the dining plan ever again even if it was free, as it's just TOO MUCH FOOD and voila! a free dining pin. Weird coincidence.

When I booked, I was told they needed to attach the tickets to the 'package' part of the reservation, so we wouldn't be able to use them until the first day (which would be the 19th). We are flying in late on the 17th, and wanted to do a waterpark at least one day, so we decided to do that on the 18th and just buy it separate at the gate there.

I have read somewhere on the boards that someone reported they were able to use their tickets early, but I don't know the details (as if they purchased them separately or anything).

Thanks, that's what I thought. I really don't expect I'll get a pin...never have, no matter what I do. I think I've been blackballed from pin offers! :confused3

Never say never... we live on the Westcoast of Canada and I could paper my walls with the PIN codes I got every year for Disneyland California. Problem is, we only go to WDW in Florida, so those PINs did me no good and I figured I would just never get one for WDW since they "assumed" we would just naturally go to the closest Disney Park.

Since January, I have received 4 PIN codes for WDW!

No idea why... these are the first ones I've received for WDW since they introduced PIN codes. I hope they continue :yay:

Don't give up (and make sure to call every once in awhile and see if you have a PIN attached to your name). Good luck!

Finally! So happy....my TA sister finally made it through after HOURS on hold yesterday and this morning. I was thrilled to find out we had a FD PIN! Doing a split stay in late August; 3 nights room only, then 5 nights with FD all at POP.

We had a PIN code that hubby received via email March 18th for the up 30% off and free hopper with 5 day or more MYW tickets.

I called today to see whether he or I had the newest free dining one. None for us as of yet.

We just booked Caribbean Beach for 4 nights with free dining Sept 11-15, then 30% off room only at Yacht Club Club Level. We'd prefer to stay at POR if we happen to get the new PIN. If not, we'll be super happy with CBR anyways.

Fingers crossed we get one in the 2nd wave.

I called just now to see if I had any PIN codes attached to my name. No luck. I then asked the CM to check my husband's account. She said he didn't come up in the system when she typed in his name? This is weird to me, since he definitely has his own account, and he's called and checked on his own PIN status before.

The CM seemed kind of grumpy...maybe she's exhausted by all the FD madness. Do you think I should have my husband call and check himself later? No emails or mail-mail regarding PINs...maybe it's a lost cause!!

From a post earlier, it sounded like someone priced out a vacation on line, and when they went to price it out and but in their cart, there was an option to choose a PIN code promotion. Is that true? Anybody seen that? If that were the case, it would be pretty easy to check for PIN codes without having to call and sit on hold the whole time . . . . Just checkin' the facts with all you peeps that are in the know!

I've never seen that.
I do know that many people (including myself) who have gone and priced out a trip and planned a bit of an itinerary OR ordered the vacation planning DVD have suddenly found a PIN code in their email within about a week.

Hint... even if your trip is in Nov. price your trip for Sept/Oct... you might get a PIN sooner that could even include the later months.

I just received a Unique Offer Code today at work- Free Dining.

Here is the breakdown:

minimum 5 nights ticket package
dates:
8/25-10/3
10/19-11/1
11/9-11/22
12/12-12/23

VERY similar to the current promotion out there but the dates are a little longer and there are not as many exclusions for hotels- I think just not the GF Villas and 3 bedroom villas from what I remember her saying.

I really wanted a room discount but I guess I should be happy I got something.

FYI- after reading these boards I got the idea to increase my chances of getting a PIN by singing up a My Disney Experience account with my work email and adding a room. It seemed to work!

I've never received a pin code. We are booked in the blackout dates October 11-17th at riverside. I am hoping wishing praying for a pin or room only discount.

Why couldn't you get a room discount? The Fall RO discounts are out right now (and I'm sure there are more dates coming).

Got one last night.

And of course it includes POR which was our original plan but we switched to AKL and I have fallen in love with the idea of staying deluxe.

Wrong timing Disney! ahhh!
