Fall/Early Winter 09/30/25 Incentives Released

You could always finance and then pay off right away too. That’s my plan, so I have a little time to shuffle money around.
The only thing with financing is you close much earlier can no longer make contract changes. I guess that could be good or bad depending on the situation. I've personally added MORE points in the 60 day period 🙈

You would also need to keep the contract(s) open if you wanted to try and take advantage of a better offer if it dropped mid-cycle or if you straddled incentive periods.

Credit cycling isnt something you should do unless absolutely necessary, it causes red flags for the credit issuer.
Yes, this was my concern too, especially with personal Chase cards.

@CallMeAFlower does your husband have any other personal Chase cards? He could also consolidate credit. For example if he has a 10k limit on a Disney Visa and a 10k limit on the new CSR he could move 8k CL from the Disney Visa to the CSR and have 18k in credit limit on the CSR. Chase does this for personal to personal and business to business without a hard pull.

Currently your guide will just mark a final payment date on the initial card you make your deposit with at 60 days. You could have a 30k balance remaining and a 5k credit card limit and it's totally fine.

You can then call your guide or Quality Assurance and either make payments at your leisure prior to that final payment date or automatically schedule them to charge X amount on X date.

As @VGCgroupie pointed out there is a new deposit section online. I have not personally had an open contract since that popped up and I haven't seen anyone use it yet, but it would be very nice if it works!
Oh nice! That makes things much more flexible. I'll report back once we make the purchase on if that deposit section actually works!

No not on a schedule you can pay when you want.

Credit cycling isnt something you should do unless absolutely necessary, it causes red flags for the credit issuer. If you have any other chase cards you can transfer credit to this new card, or ask for a credit increase before credit cycling (paying bill before the statement cycles)
Interesting! I've done this a few times in the past with another other chase card and I hadn't noticed an impact to my credit score, but I will admit that one had been open much longer. I honestly wish I had learned about actual credit rules and restrictions and not just from the "Dave Ramsey's school of bad credit cards". I probably should know all of this by my age 🤣

Thanks everyone. This has been immensely helpful and is exactly why I love these boards!!

No, I am closing at 60 days with financing. I’ve made some changes and added points too. I started the process right before the new incentives.

I think the flexibility of paying with both cards when we call is the key. I was still thinking in terms of scheduled payments where you enter one card and that's the one and only.

When I had several credit card payments on different cards to process in August, I found it easier to call the Quality Assurance phone number (which is listed on the website when you look under deposit payments) because they could process the credit card transactions while you were on the phone. I had one call where I used 4 or 5 different credit cards to make the payments I wanted to. I don't think your guide can do this - at least that is the impression I got from my guide - seemed like they just took the info and then someone else processed the actual payment.

Ah yes QA can process the card and it gets processed right away, when guides take payment it goes through the following day.
