Haha I missed all of you guys!! So you know i go all out and just like I went crazy buying all those points back to back I sure did spend them all lolll.

We went to Disney world/uni studios/vero beach for a month and I have a huge trip report to write lol. A very kind Disboarder also got us into Moonlight Magic and it was a bucket list item I'll never forget! Stayed at Boardwalk, Beach Club, Poly, Riv and Vero Beach and enjoying every second!

Would you believe I completely fell in love with Poly and cant wait for that to be our direct home, completely opposite of what I thought! Also Boardwalk, a hotel i had little interest in staying at and something we tacked on last min just to stay longer turned out to be the favorite over BCV! I am now bit up completely by the Noseeums of Vero Beach and need to put my Calamine lotion on again

Sorry!! I knew if I posted i would get sucked in during the trip because I love chatting with y'all lol. I should have checked in seeing that I spend the last few months of my life with this crew, wont happen again!! Would love to have read that thread

I actually thought about you when I decided to come back and post the Polylove lol. The minute I opened the door to that room it was love at first sight. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and my cousin dropped to her knees and began giving thanks to God loll.

They nailed it with the Moana theme it was absolutely gorgeous. We've never stayed in a two bedroom villa before so its a moment ill never forget when I opened the door and it hit me that I was actually staying in that room

Everything i thought would annoy me was incorrect. We loved the walk to the lobby every morning surrounded by nature and grabbing delicious Kona Coffee. We toured the bungalows with a guide to get our member update bag and we loved that there are so many different rooms to choose from.

Watching the fireworks from so many different places, on a hammock in the sand, the pool, the 6th floor terrace with them delicious nachos from capt cooks lol the whole thing really is a vibe.

The cast members impressed, they gave us daily housekeeping, no idea why but I gladly accepted! Chatting with other dvc members in the volcano jacuzzi, eating dole whip while laying out in the sun, getting leis upon arrival and feeling like your transported to a different place away from life haha take me back now!! Wish I could change my screename to Polystar30

That's true for choice, but I am not sure it makes that much difference on price. That's surprising to me---I always assumed that prices dipped a bit during the Winter/Spring listing bulge, but it just eyeballing the data, it does not seem to be true.

Yea, with dues being due in Jan, you'd think they would be better market in fall/winter, but maybe that just a small difference in quantity.

Correction on this we toured the longhouses I got confused with the name. They are no longer allowing people to look at the bungalows apparently they told me they ended that week. I asked a few people and it was a hard no But we were happy we got to see the stitch rooms!

My guide proactively gave me a call with the new pricing - he shared that for Poly you can save $1000 for being a Castaway Club member. I hear at times they offer D23 Gold and WDW Annual Pass incentives as well. Where can you find a list of those offers?

My guide too. They said the $1k is for Castaway Club members that are going on the Member cruise in Nov. I was ecstatic because I can add that to my D23 and the Member Weeks promo since I signed contract last week! With MB, it brings Poly under 200 pp. Possibly other DVC members doing regular cruises might benefit as well from the $1k.
Usually your guide can tell you what other affinity discounts you could qualify for.

I'll bite. Our first three stays were (all on Poly Points):

1 Grand Cal
2 Bay Lake
3 Animal Kingdom Kidani

Looking at the incentives, looks like we've settled into a direct pricing world above $200 for the most part. And seems to be no hurry to sell VDH at this prices. Or perhaps VDH is selling just fine at this pace and price.

We paid cash for grand cal because it was our engagement. Now that I think about it, it was the hotel side.

Because it was our engagement they gave us a full theme park view and it was amazing. Thats what led us to renting out points to see if DVC was for us.

Ive stayed at Grand Cal three times as dvc and have never gotten to snag a tpv. The cast members told me owners get priority and I agree they should get that over my SSR points Plus my stays there are so short.

AKV and CCV were next. Ofc I loved akv seeing that I bought it CCV didnt do it for us, but we did tour the rooms for the refresh open house and were very happy with what we saw and loved the 1 bedroom headboard and Brother Bear theme, def would love to stalk for the winter

About the incentives, we're still waiting for our 1 year dvc ani so I guess i should be glad theyre not as good. Now that ive flipped to poly I suppose it would be possible to wait for LSL to go on sale without fearing a sellout perhaps and compare the two, but then I can only go on a long dvc trip once next year and I need more points to go twice

I seem to remember you actually called my Boardwalk contract with double points a 105pp a terrible deal and then blocked me so you wouldn’t see the response…. I know you won’t see this so I’m not going to worry about any response….
