Fall Advantage 2011 :)

My top choice has been Photopass for a while... just seemed like the role I was best-suited for, and it helps that my dad has a Nikon D90 which I believe is what the Photopass CMs use. So it's sort of a perfect fit...

But I've been talking to a friend of mine who is a summer CM and he says I should really try to go for Entertainment/Attractions! He worked the whole summer as a Jungle Cruise skipper and auditioned and was pulled for face character... he's gonna be friends with Peter and Terrance...
Anyway yeah, he says I would really just have a lot of fun doing Entertainment or Attractions... so now I'm a bit unsure! I'd be happy with Merchandise, too. But that's a little boring, I'd rather have a role that I wouldn't be able to get anywhere else, yaknow?

Hi everyone!

I'm considering doing Fall 2011.... either Entertainment or Attractions would be my top choices. If I get attractions I would LOVE to do a spiel ride (GMR, Safaris, or JC), but I guess as long as it's not Fantasyland, I would take anything.

I'm thinking about taking a role in a hotel management area or working attractions. I'm really not picky when it comes to attractions, as long as I don't have to work the dinosaur or snow white ride. They scare the heck out of meeee!!!

Hey everyone!

I'm getting my degree in May, so this is my only shot to do the CP. I'm applying for Fall Advantage, I really hope I get it.

I would love a role in Entertainment or Attractions.

I'm a little worried about entertainment because I don't have any dance experience, though I have done lots of movement things through marching band and drum corps. I'm hoping the fact that I'm 6'2 helps me.

I had no idea there was a Fall 2011 thread! Ahh! Awesomesauce.

I'm a Spring 2010 Alum. I was a Character Attendant at Hollywood Studios and absolutely LOVED my role. I will graduate in May and hopefully go back to Orlando for the Fall Advantage program although I may end up doing just the regular Fall. Who knows. This time around I hope to be a Character Performer (3rd auditions the charm lol). If not a Performer I would want to be an Attendant again or perhaps in Attractions. yet again on the who knows.. I'm not sure what exactly I will check off this time...

I am in the FB group and in the skype chats (mfrizz33). I do have a blog if anyone is interested in reading it. I wasn't the best about updating it while in Orlando but I have been updating it since I have been back. I plan on being much better next time around.

me i'm limited because i had a tattoo but i know i can wear the Haunted Mansion costume and thats where I want to work, it's basically the same as Bippidi boppidi boutique which is where i worked half my program, the first half i was assigned at Saratoga SPrings resort and spa as merchandise, didnt' care for that costume, lol, plus i like working in the parks, and i loved being there during the halloween parties, so much fun

I've heard that getting assigned to Haunted Mansion is super hard. Anyone know for sure?

That being said, I also want to do Attractions. I would love to do the Great Movie Ride or Jungle Cruise! I'd even be willing to do the Carousel of Progress. If I can't do Attractions, I'd want to do Full Service Food & Beverage or Merchandise.

I'm seriously considering taking a semester between undergrad and grad school to do fall advantage, especially since my family is moving to Alabama and they'll only be eight hours away, instead of all the way across the country.

I am sooo addicted but it's so much fun looking at everything! It's extremely good to learn everything I can about applying before I actually apply! I'm so excited that your going and I definitely can't wait to "hopefully" be at Disney with you!!!! And I definitely think we should make matching sweatshirts if I get in too with Disney fabric! That would be like the coolest thing ever representin' the Disney College Program peeps! Haha that woul dbe so cute, they could even be like red with mickey print, or something like that who knows!

I must ask- what sorority are you girls in? I am an Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Akron in OHio and am planning on doing the fall 2011 program as well!!

I go on Friday to talk to Academic Advising for that my school, I had no clue such a program existed until Spring of 2010 when I saw several fliers posted outside of Academic Advising. I can't do Spring 2011 for that I am on the college's Residence Life Staff, so I have to wait and do the Fall Advantage. I have been to Disney more times than I can count, and to be able to have the opportunity to even apply just blows my mind away!!

Hey Everyone!

One more Fall Advantage hopeful here! I'm getting antsy to apply... i just want to get my diploma and move to warm weather and to the place where dreams come true! Ah!... haha...

Also, I'll be down in January to run the Disney Marathon and I would love to meet anyone else that would be down there for that time! My roommate (not coming to do WDWCP with me) and I just booked our flight and we'll be there Jan 6-Jan 14!

I don't think this is an option. You should call recruiting and find out.

When I was taking notes from the previous year, I wrote down Jan 20th thru mid-Feb. Though I think it's important to keep an eye out for the month of January. Since sometimes they release the applications a week before or weeks after.

Hope that gives you a time frame.
