I'm an educ focus/major too and some people think it's great while other don't. I don't really care about their opinions because I still want to do this program! I've been talking about it and pretty much annoying (in a loving way lol) all of my fam and friends about it! Plus I'm trying to get some of my friends to go with me. I really want to do this in the fall of 2011, but i have to see how everything works out or else i will try in the spring, but i'd much rather prefer the fall.fo

Hey Everyone! My account has been dormant since 2008, when I was getting ready to apply for Fall 2009. But I loved it so much I want to go back SO BADLY! I'm graduating this May (2011) and I'm hoping that I can go back to Florida with either a PI or a CP that I would eventually turn into a PI. When I was there last time I worked at Chef Mickey's because I'm a hospitality major, and it was a great experience that I use in interviews ALL THE TIME. It also helped me get a couple of scholarships (yay!). This time around I want to audition for character performer, but I want concierge just as badly. I also want to do hospitality, but I'm only going to apply for those three roles. I hope I can get character performer though, just because Disney's the only palce where I could even do that. I auditioned near the end of my last CP for face, and they pulled me! Unfortunately, I couldn't stay another semester so I had to turn it down. Still don't know if that was a good decision. Haha. Anyway, here's for hoping for a second chance! =)

I am really excited about this CP!!! It's something I've wanted to do since I discovered it, but sadly haven't had the time for yet.

I hope all of us get in and get to work for the mouse.

I just re-read my post and I meant to say that i'm an educ focus/major too and people judge me when I say I want to do the program. Some people are positive and tell me to do it while others tell me how is that going to help you become a teacher. truth is - i see loads of potential - how to interact with kids on a daily level - see what interests them, etc.

does anyone know how many people apply and how many get in?

There's no way to know how many people apply. But I would say aprox 6-7 thousand people are accepted.

Oh that's really exciting! I hope to get in for Spring 2011 as a photopass photographer if I don't get chosen for entertainment. It seems like a fun job with a lot of guest interaction and I love taking pictures

It is a ton of guest interaction and you work with characters often so its a fun atmosphere. Just be prepared to work outside, in the heat, constantly. The hours vary a ton too, depending on where you are. At Epcot, we pretty consistently worked 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week. I had friends at AK however, who usually worked 12 hour days, just because of the hours of the park. Overall, I liked it though!

I'm SOOOO exicted to be applying for fall ! I will be done with my AA in the summer so I will most likely go on the Disney Dream as a kick-off before I do the internship.

I really hope i get it. i have lots of work experience so hopefully i get in.

It kills me that its so far from now. I want to meet other people my age who love disney just as much as I do.

I know what you mean, I'll be finishing my AA the summer before Fall 2011. I figure it would be a way to reward myself. Even though I would most likely do the program during school regardless.
