Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Last night I told my daughter, 'We're only 184 days out!!'. Her face looked shocked and she said 'Thats forever!!'.

So I checked for September again, but I couldn't find anything, so I will be living vicariously through y'all's travels!!!!

Does anyone have special nights planned when you reach 100 days, 90 days, etc.? I read about a family who celebrated each 10 days starting at 100 days. They would watch a Disney movie and have a dinner themed to the movie. I think I will try it for this trip. Especially since it is so close to Christmas also. The excitement will be over the top, lol. The grandmunchkins will be excited too!

Ok, so we have TONS of Disney movies, but I've picked these so far for movie themed dinner night.....

Alice tea party
Dumbo carnival food (thanks CandiceF my kids are really excited about this 1)
Hercules Hero subs
Toy Story pizza
Lilo & Stitch Luau
Lady and the Tramp spaghetti
Princess and the Frog jambalaya and beignets
Mulan Asian
Parent Trap (Haley Mills version) camping and s'mores
Nemo oldest suggested PB& "Jelly" and goldfish crackers

We have Brave, but the kids said no haggis. We also have all the Pirate movies, but rum is the only thing that comes to mind and that won't work.

Can I come? This sounds awesome.

You should look for the Goldfish shaped flatbread for the Nemo party! I've seen it at Walmart. For Brave, what about roast beef, tatties (mashed potatoes) and shortbread for dessert? Or do brunch and have porridge and scones!

You've got some good ones too!!! Party City sells the coins. You can get 15 for $1. Target has trail mix that's called Monster Mix ( I think). What about sandwiches and use green/red olives for the eyes. You could make cookies and ice them like monsters. Maybe just pick your favorite Mickey movie for the pizza and go all out with red and black decor adding a little yellow and white too.

I haven't been on here all week (planning our new school year ) but I have to say I love all of these ideas! You guys are the best! (And, I'm totally stealing them all. )

My daughter booked a trip to Disneyland. The issue I have, is I really am afraid this may have been my last trip to WDW. The trip to DL isn't until MAY!


This means the potential is strong that I won't have another Disney trip. So we shall see what happens. It's in God's hands now.

So, I'm going to cancel Carribean Beach, preferred room and all my dining reservations, between Dec 10 and 17. If anyone is going those dates and is interested,or interested in moving their dates/resort, let me know!!

So sorry you won't be going to WDW but I know you'll have a great time at DL. Just keep thinking about all the great things at DL that you can't do at WDW! Weren't you talking about Cars Land and Blue Bayou?

Disneyland is still good. I'll be going in Nov for a few days. Don't leave the boards though we will miss you too much and have faith and pixie dust that it wont be your last trip.

YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!! I know how much you wanted to go to WDW, but think of all the exciting things you'll get to share with your grandmunchkins at DL. I hope you'll consider staying here and still plan with us. It wouldn't be the same without you here SunnieRN! I would love to hear what your plans are for DL. I'm sorry to hear this. I know going to DW or DL is fun with family, but I think you should just do it. If your daughter can't go just do one lash hurah and if you can afford it do a solo. I might be planning a solo next year. But I hope you are well and I hope it holds off and you can go in May.

Kidney disease is the pits but you've got a SUNNY (badum Ching!) outlook and you will rock dialysis if and when the time comes. I'm an RN too and I'm often surprised by how well my diaslysis patients do when they keep a positive attitude about it.

And DL will be awesome

So sorry to hear about your health concerns. It is possible to travel while on dialysis. You just have to talk to local clinics and get scheduled in. I'm not sure if there would be transportation services or if your daughter would have to transport you. My MIL traveled to visit family while she was on dialysis, but she and FIL drove, so he took her to appointments in different cities.

As others have already said sending prayers your way and hopefully you will be able to make it to DL even if you start by dialysis before May! Glad to hear you aren't leaving this thread
