Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

One night we walked over to the food court at CBR and they had a pin trading board set up outside. My youngest found an orange bird pin that she didn't have and really wanted so we went in the store at CBR to purchase a mystery pack. You would think buying a mystery pack would be an easy way to find something you would want to trade. No. After buying four packs she finally found one that was acceptable to trade.

We had the exact same experience last year at Pop....and it was because of an orange bird pin.

I am still uncertain of the order to book my hardest to get ADR's. What does everyone think will be the hardest to get. Akershus PPO breakfast, Be Our Guest PPO breakfast, Minnies Holiday Dine at H&V dinner or Sci-Fi dinner? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! The rest of my ADR's shouldn't be as hard to get, I just can't figure out in what order I should try to book these.

I've never booked H&V or Sci-Fi, but I always book BOG and Ohana first when making my ADR's. I have booked Akershus a couple of times for breakfast and never had a problem getting a reservation.

BTW we are watching Tarzan right now.

Thank-you for the reply! I was thinking probably BOG breakfast first. Akershus we have done dinner before and had no problem getting it but with the new frozen ride opening up it seems PPO breakfast is booking up fast in anticipation of this. We are watching the Disney cartoon version of Robin Hood today.

I was reading a thread on the dining board that stated PPO Askerhaus was. the hardest reservation to get right now, along with BOG dinner and PPO. H&V is what I would book next as it is also harder to get., although easier than PPO reservations.

I would go for Akershus first, then BOG. Don't worry about not getting an exact 8am reservation at BOG. They'll let you in at 7:45am if you have a reservation before 9am and you can go right to BOG and eat immediately.

I forgot that the Frozen stuff will be opening soon. People are probably booking in hopes that will give them an advantage. But I haven't heard about daily opening times for the Frozen ride and meet and greet. The question is will they open at 9 or open at 11 with the rest of world showcase. Has that been announced yet? I've only seen speculation.

My ADR Window is open for 11/4-11/12 so i looked to see what we could get for Akershus for 4. Today 11/10 is 180 days but I can search the 11th and 12th. Nothing on the 11th but there is a 8 and 815 available for the 12th. So it may be one that you have to book for the middle or end of your trip.

I was thinking the same thing. It would seem strange to open the Frozen attraction before the rest of world showcase opens at 11. Although, didn't they have a special at MK where you could book breakfast and then pick from three different attractions to visit?

I'll be surprised if they don't open the frozen stuff at regular park open, from what I've read about ride capacity for the boat ride it's still going to be ugly waits without a FP running all day. And the meet and greet will likely be even more popular in its new home than it is at the MK.

So thankful I've got kids who don't care about frozen or princesses

I'm not sure if you are wanting Minnie's Holiday with F! but it doesn't look like F! dining packages have been released yet for November. That might change by the time you have to book but currently you can only book a F! dining package up to 10/31. If you are just wanting regular Minnie H&V disregard

Side note: I read on the rumors thread a while back that the Frozen ride was rumored to be FP+ only.

Thank-you that might make it easier to get! I was so happy this time I didn't have to try to get a FP for Anna and Elsa because my daughter met them last time and picked different princesses this time. Now my daughter really wants both Akershus and the Frozen ride so I was hoping to get them both done around the same time. My DS9 loved Maelstrom ride and was really sad when it closed so he is hoping they keep the basic ride the same but just change the scenery. It would be so much easier if everything was already open and then it would make coming up with a plan so much easier!

I think we will try to book Minnie's Holiday without Fantasmic for now and then try to rebook and cancel the old reservation when Fantasmic comes out. If I can't get Minnie's Holiday H&V with Fantasmic I will keep what I have and try to FP Fantasmic.
