Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

I'm so glad the flights are coming out before we have to book ADRs. I don't have plans to go to the parks on our arrival or departure days but I wouldn't mind planning a dinner (unlikely) after we get in or a breakfast (much more likely) before we leave if there's enough time.

When I was a kid back in the 70's we often drove to Florida.....six of us stuffed in a car....well not really stuffed. My dad drove a car the size of a boat. :hyper: It seemed so easy back then. Now, I can barely drive to Buffalo. That's where we normally fly from.

Same here! Waiting for Islip to Orlando in Dec. Come on June 2nd get here already!

I agree on the increased prices. I was pricing flights a couple of months ago and they were in the $112-$139 range and now I'm seeing $160+ each way. Did Sw just recently raise prices?
They change their flight prices all the time. The current sale goes through 5/5 I think so probably next Tuesday there will be a new rate! Do you live on Long Island?

not yet, waiting for SW to release flights for our dates. Would prefer to fly Jet Blue out of Boston, but Providence and Manchester NH are doable too. Flew JB last trip from PVD, but now only am flight is 7AM, would have to get up at 4AM :-(.
We are flying out of Pvd on SW, Pvd usually has non stop which is great and not always more expensive.... We are from southeastern mass so it's only a 40 min drive

Ooh I'm excited about that 5/19 date! We're going to Disney in August but I need to book flights to NOLA for a wedding over thanksgiving! (Could they have gotten married over a cheaper week?!?!) lolo_O

I would just suggest to keep checking. I assumed the same thing but the price changed during the sale for certain days.

I am ~ 25 miles west of Boston, it's about 65-75 minutes to TF Green depending on traffic.

I wish! My husband just got a new job, so we don't know if he can take the week we picked yet! *finger crossed I don't have to find a new week with availability!*

Similar story here. I'm starting a new job this summer and they haven't decided which section I'll be working in yet, so I don't even have a future boss to ask the question too. Ugh. I have miles to spend and right now I can get round trip on Saver Economy for super low miles....but they will most likely be gone by the time I'm ready to book :worried:

For those of you considering Southwest flights, I definitely recommend waiting just a little bit more to book your flights. I'd say the best time is between 60 and 90 days before your dates, and it is true that flights go down on Tuesdays. I'm flying to Orlando this June and was able to get my flight down from PVD for $79. ($99 return on a Sunday) I booked in March. Luckily I live in Rhode Island. I find that non-stop flights from PVD to Orlando are cheap and abundant. I know it is hard to not book right now but the prices WILL go down.
