Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

For those of you considering Southwest flights, I definitely recommend waiting just a little bit more to book your flights. I'd say the best time is between 60 and 90 days before your dates, and it is true that flights go down on Tuesdays. I'm flying to Orlando this June and was able to get my flight down from PVD for $79. ($99 return on a Sunday) I booked in March. Luckily I live in Rhode Island. I find that non-stop flights from PVD to Orlando are cheap and abundant. I know it is hard to not book right now but the prices WILL go down.

There's only 1 nonstop out of my preferred airport, so I've gotta book it ASAP and pray it goes down :/

You're not making me feel any better. :rotfl:
We're driving from Toronto. :crazy2:
We drive from the Niagara Falls area and it's not that bad.:) We usually don't drive straight through and take 2 days to drive there and 2 days to drive back. We don't feel sleep deprived at all (actually the kids are full of energy) as long as we stop at night to sleep. The kids love driving through the mountains because it is so flat here it's something they are not used to. They are missing school to go, so at least they are getting a Geography lesson on the way there!:teeth:

Thank you for the tip! We live in central Mass and we hardly ever fly so this airfare business has been flummoxing me somewhat.

Thanks. That's good to know. We're going to take our time. It might be fun.

Life's a journey, not a destination.....Right??? At least that's what I keep telling myself.

We drive every year from NE Ohio, and it's not bad at all. We've drove the past 9 years. Had a bad flight and never could get anyone in this house on a plane ever again. Only one bad experience driving but it was December and we hit an ice storm in West Virginia :scared1: WV is hard enough to drive through without ice. But we switch off and it's fine. We stop one night in orangeburg, SC. But after 9 years of driving I'm still saying it's not bad, so don't worry.

Thanks! I'm sort of looking forward to it in a sick and twisted way. :tilt:

It will be nice to just throw everything into the car without weighing our luggage and bagging our liquids. Plus we'll have a car once we're there. That will be different and exciting because we've never even rented a car before, so it will be nice to have the option to drive to some of our ADR's.

So my husband and I have been lazy all afternoon and evening. We watched 3 hours of YouTube walk through Caribbean Beach Resort videos which lead to people's Wdw park videos which lead to people's Wdw on ride videos which lead to us now watching Princess and the Frog on DVD. #SundayFunday.
:rolleyes1:jumping1:
That's nice that your husband is into it with you. My husband loves Disney when we're there, but his eyes glaze over and he often wanders away when I mention it in real life. :tiptoe:

I told my sister we booked another trip to Disney and she started in with the "must be nice" and "spoiled kids" comments and I'm over here like

Money related guilt trips from family...so over it!

Ohhh I bet your husband secretly likes it more than he lets you think

When we drove last year we loved not having to wait for the bus go to the parks! Especially if we stayed until the end of the night when all the busses had huge lines and were really crowded. I think we took the bus maybe once and did not miss it.:)

I literally am sooooo over that myself. Why do people judge like that??? It's mean!!

Also... "why do you go to Disney EVERY YEAR??"

It gets old and makes me sad.

However....We need to not let them bring us down! We are going to Disney World. In the words of Taylor Swift.... "Haters gonna hate hate hate ...." :dance3:
