Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

Our FP day is coming up and I wanted to know for those who have park hopped before, do you find it easy to accomplish a lot if you rope drop your first park or do you make FP selections for your first park? Also, would you consider park hopping easier using Disney transportation or your own?
We used park hopper last time because free dining was only offered if you added park hopper or one of the water parks. We realized it was nice to not be confined to one park. We can usually complete AK in two or three hours and same with HS. So instead of just doing the one park we can go to another. Or if one is too full because everybody is trying to get the most out of their park visits when they don't have park hopper. We try to avoid extra hours because those without park hoppers are at those parks.

We added PH this time because of free dining too. Last year we didn't have to use PH because I had booked a bounce back the previous year and it wasn't a requirement. We try to avoid parks with EMH, but this trip we'll hit MK with both morning and evening EMH. Oh well, I'm not leaving Disney without walking down Main St. before heading home. :)

Tomorrow we kick off our Disney themed dinner and a movie night. First up, Brave and roast beef. Our trip seems to be getting really close!! We saw a commercial earlier today that featured Expedition Everest and I couldn't stop smiling!! :D

So has anyone else been sucked into disneybounding? I had seen it mentioned several times in other threads, but had no idea what it was. Then, a few days ago I found a thread that said "do you disneybound". I was explaining it to my oldest, showed her a few pictures and she was hooked. Now I'm really having to pull outfits together for this trip and I still have to get Halloween costumes together!!

For anyone that collects Tsum Tsum, I just saw that a villain collection is coming 9/6 and there will be an orange bird Tsum Tsum sometime in the fall. These will be must haves for my youngest!!

I get that way too when I see a Disney commercial!:) If your booking FP soon it means you only have 60 days left until your trip!!!!:cheer2: I love when we get to the 60 day mark (not until September for us) it makes the trip seem so close!!! I did Disneybound last year by accident, LOL! My daughter got new Princess Disney ears she wanted to wear and I put her cute Tinker Bell hair clip in my hair as we raced to CRT. I happened to be wearing green and the waitress asked me if I was Disneybounding. I have been on Pinterest this summer looking for ideas for this year and they have so many great ones! The Tinker Bell hair clip I wore last year was from Hot Topic and they have so many cute Disney ones!!

We just recently started shopping at Hot Topic. I was surprised at just how many Disney items they carried. I told my oldest I would try and make an Ariel themed hair barrette for her disneybounding outfit, but maybe I'll just run by Hot Topic and pick one up there . Then I can run over to the Hallmark store and pick up another Disney ornament. I try to resist buying Disney ornaments at home because we always bring one back from our trip, but the Hallmark store had one of the castle with fireworks going off behind it and it plays "When You Wish Upon a Star". It made me tear up a little when I heard it play and I knew I had to have it. Now I have to go back to get the Mickey and Minnie spinning in a teacup. :sad2:

The next 60 days are going to fly by!! The kids go back to school in a little less than 2 weeks, we have 3 family members (my youngest included) celebrating birthdays in September and a family reunion to attend Labor Day weekend. Maybe I should start packing for Disney now.

Hope everyone's plans are coming together!! :)

I don't know what DisneyBounding is.

I'm still here! Hit our 60 day mark today and did our Fastpasses this morning. Got everything we wanted and the times I wanted! :tigger:
Also went ahead and did our online checkin. It's been a Disney kind of day haha! Continuing my work on our Halloween costumes for the MNSSHP.

Today was our FP date as well, and we too got everything we wanted (so far...until I decide to change our plans for the 100th time :rolleyes1)! Do we have to do online check in exactly at the 60-day mark as well? Or can we wait a little bit? Just trying to finalize what requests we want to make, so if it's not a disadvantage to do it later, I will wait a few days. :thanks:

Oh, you can wait. I just did because we weren't going to change anything and already knew what we were requesting. I think last year I did mine around day 30.
Congrats on getting everything! I know what you mean about changing things. I've changed our touring plans a thousand times by now haha! And not knowing the Star Wars fireworks and the unknown at Animal Kingdom..I'm sure I'll be tweaking them again!

Thanks! Glad we both got everything we wanted! Although, part of me, just like ADRs still want to try to 'refine' it a bit more even if it's already as close as what I had originally hoped for haha. I think part of it is the excitement of getting the ADR and now the FP, that when those milestones are over with, it feels 'empty', so you just want to keep 'making it better', but how do you make getting what you wanted better!? :hyper2:

I built into my plans the SW dessert party, just assuming that I will get it on the day that it's available to book (we go the last week of Sept and of course, they release it for booking only up to the last week UGH!), otherwise, I have a back up plan built in place, but getting close to being done! Hopefully once the dessert party is available to book, I won't need to use the back-up because while the ADRs work, the FPs will need reworking...o_O

Non Disney related FYI:

I bought a knock off Yeti 30oz tumbler at Walmart this weekend. It only cost $10 and had amazing reviews. I've seen several comparisons with the yeti and they are supposed to hold ice just as well

i filled it with ice at noon today and its still more than 1/2 full of ice almost 8 hours later. I've refilled with water from my fridge dispenser 3x and HS it in and outside of the house with me.

The ice water lover in me is rejoicing. And I used my friends cricut machine to make decals for it too, so it's cute. Everyone needs these miracle cups! And I'm a Tervis lover, but these are waaaaay better at keeping things ice cold. I only wish they had a leak proof option!

I know, after ADRs and now FP+ done..what do I do with myself haha! The excitement is over for now I guess. I'm shifting focus to getting our MNSSHP costumes done.
I also considered the Star Wars Dessert party. Think we're going to pass...but I'm still stalking it. Yes I've got a problem:hyper:

The problem we are all dealing with! Haha. Trying to just fit everything in and just wanting to "stalk it" just for the sake of doing so lol. In my case, I really want to just book the dessert party! If only Disney would cooperate...

We have had a heat alert here for the past couple of days, I definitely will have to check this out.:)
