Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

Wish I had known about the gartner conference earlier, I could have used some part of my CME allottment to goto the conference and help with room at Disney. The not-so-great news is that it will potentially be crowded down there during my short weekend there, as convention goers will likely extend out to the following weekend.

She said all three Epcot resorts are booked solid. There are no full price rooms, there are no AAA rooms, there are no PIN rooms, there are NO rooms available at the BC, YC or BWI. Not available for the entire time of my stay, not available for any night of my stay.

There are rooms available at the Boardwalk, Beach & Yacht Club for 10/25-10/31 according to the website so there should be rooms available for 10/25, 26, 27 and 28.

Gartner typically doesn't have a huge impact on parks. Other than F&W crowds this is usually a great time to go.

I'm still checking every morning but based on the latest CM rumors, I'm thinking we'll see the discounts the Tues or Wed after labor day.

Just got off the phone, there was no PIN for me either

The CM volunteered the info that the AP and FL rates should be extended in the next couple of weeks. She said "they usually extend it in the same month it expires" just to concur with all the other info out there.

The cm I spoke to was less than helpful and said that there was nothing available after September (duh!). I'm so disappointed with Disney right now. :/

Just talked to a CM who said the discount is "coming soon". NOT HELPFUL!

I'm just being impatient, she was super nice.

I know the feeling!!! I'm not very happy with this Disney situation & I know I'm not alone!!!! Why the L O N G delay????? I have 2 separate AAA vacations just waiting to be changed over to AP rates!! It's driving me crazy!!

Same here !!! We are booked for 10/5 !! I mean, come on already !
(As well as 11/22)- And the "PIN" thing is even more ridiculous-- (and we have had (2) CMs AND a Mgr that agreed with us !!)

DW received a PIN the other day to her e-mail address- when she called to use it, they needed to verify the billing address, and the one that came up in their system ( that was "attached" to the e-mail) was for my niece !!! She is 16 yrs old, and came on us to WDW a few times- but we were the ones that booked (and paid for) the trip !! Have no idea why we dont get one, but she does- We tried telling them that we are AP holders, (which we are), but that didnt help- They totally agreed that the system was flawed, but could not do a thing to allow us to use the pin. Totally frustrating !!

I was just messing about on the Disney site, plugging in dates for early October, getting sad, no discounts, no special perks for AP holders, when the Live Chat window popped up, so I chatted with Cast Member Lauranece, told him I was stressed out a bit that no AP discounts had been released for October, blah, blah, blah...
He replied
"Will be announced in a few days" and in closing he said " no worries"
Feeling hopeful again, at least for now

Several CMs have said we'll see the AP discounts right after Labor Day. So I'm not going to worry until then.

Though I still think there's a definite possibility that most of Oct won't be covered. There weren't GP discounts for most of Oct last year and Oct is an increasingly busy month.

Also, are the room discounts only good during the open windows, or are they like the free dining discounts where as long as you check in during that window you get it for the whole stay?

We are waiting too. We have AP vouchers, so no way to know when AP rates will come out for our early Dec. trip. As in the past, I feel 99% sure AP rates will be available, but(as in the Tom Petty song says) the waiting is the hardest part

It's possible. Discounts often mirror PINs. But sometimes they're more narrow too.

Room discounts are handled day by day. So you may have a discount that only applies to half your days (not necessarily consecutive). Or it may be different rates (with the same discount code) for some days than others. Each day is evaluated separately.

I sure hope so. I had my December trip all settled at the beginning of August last year. I'm getting tired of having to get up early on my days off just to check for discounts, lol!

I say voucher, technically, I have no paper saying anything about it. Instead, my DW had them put on our Disney visa and we pick them up at a Guest Relations by giving them our info
