Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

Really? The exact same discount as GP? UGH!! I was hoping for at least 5% more. Honestly, FD is beginning to be the only place where discounts make sense.

We are spending 10 days at Disney in August, off site gets 7 days and Disney gets us for 3 days. Unless we are doing FD, there is really no reason for us to switch.

Actually, I think the additional discount for certain rooms is about 5%. Example....GP discount rate on ASM room (weekday) is $69.60. With AP discount that room rate was $65.25. Both rates were higher for weekend. Not that I want to stay there, but that's the value it quoted for me.

However, they didn't include 8/15-8/16 .... Duh! Nothing like needing 2 ressies to get five continuous days as an AP holder and some discount....need to do 2 days with GP offering, then AP for final 3 days, to get the biggest benefit, which isn't really that much overall. Very disappointing.

I did just double check the discount for Pop...and there is not difference between AP and GP discounts. Evidently there is only a very very minimal discount for that resort. It does list in both places as discounted, but I didn't check it against rack rates.

Sorry to those looking for those October discounts!

So glad they came out today, but they didn't discount a garden view at the Beach Club (although the room is available without a discount for my dates) so I ended up booking the Boardwalk. Is it weird that the WL is more expensive than the BWI? I would have booked WL, but it's about $200 more, and I could not justify that. The other way around, maybe..

My stay is BWI and BC, so I'd say I'm half pleased.

I was hoping for a big discount at BC so I could bump up to CL...hmm.

BTW...is there a separate number for AP holders to call? Or is it 407-WDISNEY?

For those who were able to get AP discounts applied today...:thumbsup2

Now, I wait for October....:surfweb:

Pop wasn't included in GP discounts for the % savings this summer either. Perhaps just select resorts will be given the discount?

Same number

I called (407) 939-7635, which was described as the "passholder hotline." It got me to an agent in less than a minute, which was pleasantly surprising.

Felt very lucky that the bulk of my September trip is at BWI, so I saved another 7% on top of the general public discount. But my Contemporary reservation was unchanged. I'm less disappointed than I could be, but based on past years this year's discounts definitely aren't as robust...

AP discount for GF is not much better then the general public discount either

Just got off the phone a bit ago....
Here's what I got.

BWI-Deluxe Club Level Room.....I went from 30% off to 33%off

BC- I was booked in a Standard Garden View room. They had no GV rooms available at BC...standard or CL. I chose to upgrade to Standard View-Club Level for about $150 more at a discount of 35%. There were garden view rooms...standard and club level avialable at the YC.

Wow, the bounceback deal I currently have booked beats the AP discount.:confused3 Plus you can't even get POFQ. It's showing up at rack rate. The same thing happened this past May. The bounceback I had booked for that trip was exactly the same as the AP discounts. I also have an bounceback deal booked for Oct 27th-Nov 4th. Wanna bet that deal also beats the AP discounts when they come out for that time period. AP discounts for this past year have really stunk.

Really disappointed. First time ever I have seen courtyard view at WL over $300 with the AP for mid september. Looks like more and more Swan and Dolphin will become our home resort instead of our split stays. I have had an annual pass voucher in my wallet for 4 years and still have not used it because everytime I have found a better expedia or GP code than the AP rate for the room I wanted. As a result I have only gone once a year and just bought a ticket. Used to go twice a year with the AP because discounts so good. This time I will activate my AP just to go ahead and use it and not have to buy a ticket but will probably still stay at swan and dolphin and a few nights trying out art of animation( I expected I would pay rack rate from AoA since it is so new which is fine).

Not worth it at all. AoA isn't even included and to go to a mod and need 2 rooms, we may as well stay put.

i saved $100 with the AP rate. very exciting! we're only staying 3 nights but i will take the discount! :thumbsup2

These are the worst AP discounts I have seen during a Value season since I became a passholder.

We had planned to stay at the Poly or CR, but there were no rooms available at CR and the Poly's discount rate for the weekend we were looking at was still $371 a night.

So we are still going, but have switched to Riverside which is $1000 cheaper than the Poly was with the AP rate.

I have a spreadsheet of pre-discount prices for pretty much every resort/room combo. When the AP discount came out the other day I checked the new price with the old one, and at the resort had kinda really wanted to stay at (AKV), for 6 nights it was only a $200 difference. Don't get me wrong, $200 is great. But then I priced SSR 1 bedroom, and it was $1000 difference!!! So I went back and looked at the AP discount page and noticed that it didn't show any percentage, like it did for the early summer one. Looks like you CAN get a great discount on SOME rooms, but not others. Looks like as soon as we the money, we'll be booking SSR 1 bedroom, lol, even though we've already stayed there.

What bothers me is the dates are only good until September 29th. I need September 30th and on for a couple of weeks. :upsidedow

I know they are calling these Fall discounts, but October and November are fall too!
