Fall 2012 AP Rates- is anyone else waiting?

Do they usually do it on the weekend or during the week, or does it have any rhyme or reason? I always feel like I can take a break on the weekends But this wait has been excruciating!!!

There's no pattern to release dates. Though weekends are rare.

Given the complete lack of any date-specific rumors, I'm not expecting anything for at least a couple weeks. The most we've heard from any CMs is "August" and now some are starting to suggest "September". Not that they really know, but when a release is actually coming, something always leaks out. It's too quiet. I think we're in for a long wait.

I agree...I was just talking to a CM yesterday, fixing my reservation that another CM messed up, and she said keep a look out, maybe in the next month or so...I was soooo disappointed to hear that

But, I think they will announce mid-week next week. I am looking for either a AP or Military discount for part of our trip starting September 30th at AKL CL. I currently have a 30% off pin, which is great but... more would be super!

There is news that a military discount will be released next week mid-week. With it being early August the timing would be perfect for Disney to announce both discounts the same day. Keeping my fingers crossed.

We are staying GF this time but I just booked 2 nights at AKL - Jambo for February...I noticed your status, am I going to love it so much they will have to drag me out of there?

I'm actually not going to start anticipating anything until the current summer discount expires August 14. I assume that if (when!?) a new discount for October and beyond is announced, it will come after the summer booking window closes. I have no "inside" information on which to base this - only that it seems to happen that way most of the time.

Keeping my fingers crossed for that 2nd week in October that has been blacked out from all other discounts thus far (just my luck!).

Another DISers is reporting they were able to get military discounts for oct/nov today.

Staying at AoA in the Little Mermaid rooms. If a discount is released I beleive there is a chance these rooms will be excluded.

I am with you guys, I am wanting to book AKL Oct 25-28th but no passholder discounts yet for Oct If I book rack rate now and put a deposit down, can I call up later and get the better rate if/when it comes out?

Maybe. Maybe not. If there is a discount available on that resort/room type for those dates then you'll be able to apply it. But the number of discounts available is based on percentage of bookings at the time. (which is why it can change from day to day.) So booking the room ahead won't improve your chances. If you plan to go anyway, then you might want to book. If you don't, you might as well wait.

I am with ya! We have LM rooms booked Nov 15 & 16 paying rack rate right now. If these rooms are excluded, I may have to cancel All State Roadside and go with AAA. I believe you can get a AAA discount for the LM rooms. I hate to pay full price for Anything!

Me too. I was able to switch the bounceback deal I had for Sept 1st-8th from POFQ to AKL, using the current AP discount. However, I'd still like to switch the bounceback deal I have at POFQ for Oct 27th-Nov 4th to an AP deal.

Anniversary trip Oct 12-14th . Now will have to book the room , and later the dining plan . Usualy I book all at once and spread the payment out over two months. Thank's Disney don't think I will renew my AP next year!
