Fall 2008 PIs

I had my interview on Friday. I'm not sure how it went. I answered a lot of questions with really stupid responses but I don't know how I could have prepared myself for it?!!! They asked me to rank the animal conservation programs and I told them I was really interested in the ones that contained schools that came from the FL area esp if I plan to apply for a teaching job in central FL. I emailed the lady and thanked her for the time at the interview but I have not heard anything since then.

Typically at an interview when you leave they tell you that they will be in touch with you yet I was not told that so I dont know??!!!

Has anyone else had the Animal Conservations for DAK or AKL??? Did you have 2 interviews?? My 1st interview was pretty intense and actually wayyy more in depth than my CP one so I'm not sure? My one roommate had a phone screening which was not what mine was like, so maybe not as many applied and they went straight for the "2nd interview???

I had interview with DAK about 1 week, 2 days ago. I know how you feel with the different questions, it kind irrelevant at times and a bit overwhelming with more than 5 people asking questions at one time. They said, they will be in touch with me soon though. What did you rank as your choices for the internship, I love to teach, so I said, the 1st -teaching, Guest education, presenter. I wouldn't worry they are probably backed-up. Likely they will respond to your email tomorrow, good luck!!!

ya it was a bit odd lol. I had 4 girls total. I said I want to teach, plan, supervise in that order. I have the list of choices I wanted first, 2nd, 3rd, etc. I know I said the AKL one last but I liked the one dealing with the central florida schools and groups. I'm really into the groups ones dealing with like school groups and kids camps but I have never worked for a summer camp so I'm not sure??!! lol

if you don't mind me asking how many people interviewed you. I'm going down to disney for 3 face2face interviews for Management PI's

I had 4 females interview me. There are 5 roles I interviewed for and there was reps from 4 of the 5.

I know some of you have applied for events type internships. has anyone heard anything or had interviews for any of these (MK events, events services special events, merchandise presentation, sales and events) or any of the theatre internships (which are summer only or in new york)? Las t time I talked to a recruiter in a screening interview she said that these interships were dragging their feet, taking their time, so I just wanted to check in with others who've applied.

I also had my interview on Friday for Animal Conservation Program. I agree with you about how intense the question where. I would have liked a face to face interview better, but I live to far way.

i wonder if there will be less second interviews this week. it has to be crazy down there because of easter, so the managers will probably be insanely busy. it shouldn't affect first interviews because they're done by HR.

I just submitted paperwork via fax and they said they will review it but there is a chance i won't get interviewed b/c of time, they are finishing up interviews this week they said.

Did anyone else apply for the Media Relations PI that starts in June? I was just curious if anyone had heard anything from them.

Hi there! Not sure if you're still on the boards, but I applied for the Media Relations PI and International Public Relations PI (On 2/27). I had my screening about 4 days ago, and my first interview yesterday, 3/16. I think it went really well. She said since I'm an active campus rep/cast member, the only thing to do now is to wait to hear back from the departments, if at all, but she seemed really positive, so we'll see.

well i hope once easter is done with and the slower season begins again i hope they speed things up... I understand they're busy and what not but the sales/marketing/PR departments should move their feet because its really unfair to keep our lives up in the air like this.

SO.....5 days after I put in my application, I got a call to schedule my first interview!

She said it would be for DU Operations and Learning Services Internship and Work Force Planning & Analysis Internship .

I guess the third one I applied for, Labor Operations System Sustainment Internship , might come later or not at all?

Oh well, I'm so excited! They are way quicker than the college program people, haha.

So, after waiting since January 31st, I FINALLY got my screening interview! My phone interview is this Wednesday!

I really had given up. I couldn't believe it when they called me this afternoon!

I do think that they probably do that... at least it was suggested to me by someone who works at Disney. They said to use a lot of key-words, because they look for that. I tried to use Disney terminology and everything... but man, I am starting to get anxious. I know it has only been a week since my interview, but man does time pass slow when you're waiting for something you really want, huh?

And to answer someone's question: I'm going for International Public Relations, International Recruiting, and Guest Relations. Yiiiiiikes.

I believe so. This was the interview after the initial screening call. She mentioned both positions, and at the end asked if I had a preference of one over the other. I told her, honestly, that I think I am well qualified for both, and would enjoy either just as much as the other, and couldn't decide at this point in time...depends on which get back to me and further discussion with them.
I hope it doesn't hurt my chances. She said she asked just because a lot of people will apply for a bunch, and they like applicants to narrow their choices down.

Congrats! Good luck on your interview! I hear the PR department(s) take a while, so no worries One question they will definitely ask: Why do you want to work for the company?
