Fall 2008 PIs

I have my second interview on April 7th for Rooms and Related MI! I'm going to go down for a face to face interview! I could have done a phone interview but I think Face to face would be the best bet. what do you all think?

Congrats, Jenna! I def. think that a face2face interview would be better than a phone interview. It's easier to read body language and convey a positive demeanor in person. On the phone you kinda have to guess. Go for it!! And Good luck!! :goodvibes

I think I will be less nervous in person than the phone, I can see the interviewers facial and body motions. Does anyone know how many people usually are interviewing?

Congratulations!...if you don't mind me asking...
1) How long did it take to hear anything after your first interview?
2) Were you asked to send out some document, such as transcript or cover letter, before scheduling 2nd interview? or you just got email telling you to set up the sencond interview?
Thanks.:yay:

1) How long did it take to hear anything after your first interview? I applied back on Jan 18th, had my first interview on Jan 31. I got my first e-mail for Rooms and Related PI March 12th.
2) Were you asked to send out some document, such as transcript or cover letter, before scheduling 2nd interview? or you just got email telling you to set up the sencond interview? I just called this morning and set up my interview for April 7th at Team Disney. I had to submit my resume and cover letter when I applied for the positions. I had to submit a application that was sent to my workbench then I mailed it into disney.

feel free to ask anything else, and I will try an help.

Hi, everyone I just had my 2nd interview with Epcot sciences (Biotechnology, Plant Science) it went very well. Interview mostly consisted of questions about your background and experience. I was on the phone from 60 minutes, so I guess that is a good thing, maybe the longer the better. Now I am just waiting for response (waiting game again) and for Aquaculture to call, set-up a interview.:goodvibes

I got a call yesterday for another phone interview with the finance department. I wish I had a choice between interviews (phone or face to face) because I would definitely choose face to face, but it's ok though. I'm ready either way. It's Thursday, March 20th at 10am.

I really didn't have a choice between face2face or phone. When I called the lady just asked me what date I wanted for my face2face. I wanted face2face anyways, I think I will be less nervous in person and hopefully they see that I came all the way from MA for it!

hey everyone. my interview is today at 2 at AK. I think this will be better in person so I'm able to meet the ones in charge face to face. It's harder to answer questions you are unsure of when you are face to face but I think it shows a lot more of responsibility when you are willing to take time out of your day to drive there to meet with them in person.

wish me luck!! I have reviewed the roles and wrote them down in an order I would like, but who knows what they will ask me. Maybe it will be just a screening or something?? I'll let everyone know how it goes!

Just to update ya'll, I had my first interview with PI department last night (at 10pm eastern!). I had a great rapport with my interviewer and I think it really went very well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll hear something soon!!!

Has anyone heard about 2nd interview for Group and Convention Brand Marketing or DVC marketing?? Just trying to get an idea of where the Departments are at since I haven't heard from those yet. Thanks!:cheer2:

I applied March 6th (yeah, yeah as late as possible but I didn't know about school and all) and haven't heard anything yet. Granted it has been just over a week but the wait is horrible!

i didnt apply for that particular one but some other marketing and sales internships and havent heard anything. it seems that the marketing, sales, and PR departments are a little slow. hang in there!

Does anybody have any information about DU Operations and Learning Services Internship???? What is the job like experience like??? I have 2nd interview with them on Wednesday.:)

Thanks

So I'm a little behind the game...I applied March 14th! I did the following ones:

1. Work Force Planning & Analysis Internship
2. Labor Operations System Sustainment Internship
3. DU Operations and Learning Services Internship

Do you think it will hurt me that I applied later? It said the deadline wasn't until April 4th.

mickeyfan85- I don't think it will hurt your chances if the deadline is not till april 4th.

Does any one know what kind of questions are asked during a second interview for management internships? I have 3 second interviews and trying to get as much information as possible, any help would be great!

I applied the day before the deadline for the spring 2008 PI and never received any phone calls. The positions I applied for were pretty popular and probably had a ton of applicants (Guest Relations, Weddings and Youth Events). It was defiantly frustrating; I took a lot of extra time on my resume and thought I was very well qualified. This application period I applied about a week after the job was posted and had my initial interview about two weeks later. You still applied a few weeks before the deadline, so hopefully it won’t affect you. Good luck! Let us know when you hear something!

It seems like all is quiet on the western front... but it is the weekend. I'm guessing we'll be hearing some more news from people by Monday.

I haven't heard ANYTHING at all for the internships that I am interested in (not personally, nor through anyone else). This waiting really IS hard! I feel like I did when I applied for the CP for the first time...
