Ok, this is one of those posts I'm not really sure where to put...it's not park specific nor is it resort specific, but anyway here goes...

Already starting to plan our fall '08 trip (never too early!) but having a hard time narrowing down the dates.

We've been twice in September, but were hoping to see the Christmas decorations this time around (it's just me and DH, so we'll have time to actually stop and appreciate this stuff!:upsidedow). Right now it's a toss-up between the week before Thanksgiving and the week immediately following it. We'll be doing a Tuesday thru Sat. trip.

Also, if I book with Dreams Unlimited for one of those weeks, and then next spring Disney ends up announcing Free Dining again and we decide it's too good to pass up, can we rebook without penalty?? I'm planning to book sometime this fall, which would be waaay before the Free Dining annoucements come out. We used DU for our last trip and loved them but the possibility of date-switching has never come up before.

I know you guys can give me some good suggestions! Thanks in advance!

From what I've heard, the week right after Thanksgiving is generally pretty good. I'd avoid the week before.

I have been there the week of Thanksgiving and the parks are pretty crowded.. I would go the week after...

The week after Thanksgiving might be pretty nice, but avoid the week that the Pop Warner crowd is there, those teenagers go out of their way to be obnoxious :sad2: and they run around with no parental control :confused3 . Next year when we go, we are going the week after they are gone. The Christmas decorations are just breathtaking :santa: . I haven't been in September.

You can change your reservation without penalty up to 45 days prior to your trip, but sometimes there can be a $50 fee unless there is a resort upgrade (so I have heard. Last trip, I changed resorts a couple of times and no penalty was charged), but if you change anything between days 44 to 6, there is a $100 penalty and between days 6 to arrival date there is a $200 penalty.

Okay, I'm new here, so I now have to ask the question (sorry to hijack the thread for a moment)...What is Dreams Unilimited?
Thanks!
