Has anyone heard whether you can add another person on to an existing fairytale package reservation? We are going in two weeks and would like to add my father on to our villa reservation. Can we still make this change? Also, would I be able to add him WITHOUT getting the ultimate park hopper ticket for him?

I've thought about just ahving him stay in the room with us without adding him to the reservation (we'd still have fewer adults than the room can legally hold) The only problem is how would I get him a key to get in and out of the room? My understanding is they only give you enough room keys for those on your reservation.....

To the best of my knowledge, in order to be included in the FTP, you have to have the ultimate park hoppers. If that weren't the case I would have had my dd go without them. We have park passes left-over that would do for her nicely.

What I do for the girls...is ask if they can both have a room key that is only good for the room...and not the passes....this allows me not to panic when they go to the pool...I always fear they'll lose their key and because of this lose their passes...
My request as always been granted..and the key looks identical to those with the passes on it...
this way we still have keys with passes...but keys for room-only as well...which realy takes a load off my back...
I'm sure you could use this...

We thought about doing this. My sister was thinking of joining us for part of our Sept. vacation. CRO said that as long as 2 people (I don't believe they both even had to be adults) had UPHs, it was fine. I believe that we would have had to pay an extra adult charge for her staying in the room, but she could be added to our reservation, have a key, charging privileges, and early entry privileges. As it stands, she is not going, so I did not follow up.

I would suggest calling reservations and asking. I do remember many people discussing this at one point, so maybe some of them will weigh in. Let us know what you find out or if anyone else knows the answer as my sister may still go.
Hope it works out!

When the FTP first came out, a very few people posted that they were able to get the package without adding the UPH's for everyone. Apparently that was a mistake and they quickly stopped doing that.

Because you have the FTP package, everyone in your room has to have the UPH's.

ask if they can both have a room key that is only good for the room...and not the passes....

With a regular reservation that would work fine, but since everyone is required to have an UPH with the FTP package, she wouldn't be able to do that.

CRO said that as long as 2 people (I don't believe they both even had to be adults) had UPHs, it was fine.

I don't particularly recall the 2 people requirement, but as I said, when the package first came out they did allow it. That only lasted a few days and people who tried to do it after that were told they couldn't.

We would have loved to be able to get the FTP without UPH's for everyone in our family too. The rates were really incredible and we would have gotten an extra trip in this summer! Unfortunately, some of us have PAP's so we couldn't use the FTP package. At least that's what we were told.

We were just able to do this! DH, DD, DS and I are staying at the BC in August with the FTP. Our adult DD and my mom are going the same time on the FTP. We all booked through DC the very first available day.

My sister is now able to join us. She will be staying with mom and DD. She has an AP. We considered (very briefly) not adding her to their reservation for this very reason, that all in the party must get UPH. We called this week, however, and added her with no problem! Of course she must pay the $25/a night for an extra adult.

30 more days !!

We have done this with no problem, We have 1 person on FTP, and I will be added as a guest in the room when we get there since I already have an AP. I have called the hotels front desk and they have said no problem. I would hope this is the case for everyone.

We are headed to WL in August and I am heading down first with our two daughters; my partner and infant are joining us on our 6th day. I asked when I made the res. and they said no problem... Hope it really isn't a problem when we get there :-)

It sounds as though if you're just adding a guest on an existing reservation, they're letting you do it without the pass.

It never occurred to me to try making reservations in that way, we might have been able to swing that trip after all!

We were all booked on the FTP, and then DH had some things come up at work, and can't be gone for the entire week. He's only able to join us for 3 days. I was worried about it, thought maybe he would just stay with us and not be on the reservation, but I called CRO and they let me drop him from the FTP package, and purchase a 2night/3 day UPH for him. The rest of us (1A, 1J, 2C) are still on the original FTP.

TarraLee - When you made the change for your husband did you have to specify which 2 night/3 days he would need the UPH passes for? Also, do you think they would have let you not get passes for him at all? I'd like to call Central Reservations and ask questions but if they won't let me add my Dad without him buying park hoppers I don't want to tip them off that he might just stay in our room anyway.....

I have a feeling I worded my post wrong...

whether you have the FTP or just UPH tickets this works!
everyone gets there room keys that include passes...but on top of that we ask for 2 "extra" keys that DO NOT include the passes on them...
hence we have both the UPH tickets as well as plain ol' keys...
The request has always been granted...

I suggested this to my friend...and it worked out great for them....there request was granted...and it saved her from taping the UPH to the kids arms when they went exploring the resort...
this was with the FTP...and she recalled that disney did not have a problem with this...

Hi all,

We have been able to add ourselves, Me, DH, DS12 & DS9 to my sisters reservation. She had a 2bdrm a WLV on the FTP, there are 2 ad, 2k and 1 infant in her party. We are AP holders and we told them when we made the reservation and they added us in with no problem.

My parents also wanted to go so we made reservations for them @ BWI and myself and the kids will be joining them with out anything extra.

We went/going 4 times this year thanks to AP's and the FTP.

Thank you Boston Yachter - that is exactly what I wanted to know. I as hoping I coul drequest a couple plain hotel keys (non-park hopper keys). I wasn't sure how this request would be viewed at the front desk. When I called the Wilderness Lodge front desk she wouldn't answer the question of whether or not I could get plain room keys when staying on the Fairytale package. I was thinking that they might only give you exactly the right number of keys and that was all you could have.
