The CM I spoke to denied that they have been extended- acted like I was crazy!!!!!:(

Does anyone know if you still have to book the extended dates by June 29th? We are planning on leaving Nov 22, so Im trying to decided if we should leave earlier and Im curious if I only have 2 weeks to decide??? TIA

Shannon

:( I don't know, I just spoke to a CM who denied the extension and said that the end date of 10/30 was "ironclad". He also tried to get me to say who had told me that the discount was extended, but he couldn't make me talk, I will never rat out the DIS! :teeth:

The CM I spoke to was pretty stern about it ending on the 31st of October also. I guess I will have to just keep calling.....

I guess tommorrow will be a big day for us. Please post when you get a ressie made. I will also.:)

I'm getting married on 11/22, and I was thinking of returning to WDW for our honeymoon. I haven't had any luck finding codes or discounts for that time.

That would be great if they did extend the special to the end of November.

Does anyone have a package thru DU? Wouldn't DU answer some of these questions since it's on their site?

Tammy

I have a feeling they won't offer the Fairytale Pkg around Thanksgiving. November 20th will probably be the last day to check in for this deal.

TJennSaint,

I agree with you. That's what I was thinking too. Why would they offer discounts for busy time of year.

Maybe some will get lucky for the first 2 weeks of Dec. If not then I won't have to worry about my vacation being crowed. 1st week in Dec is the best.

I wonder how this deal is working for Disney. Should be interesting to find out how the crowds will be effected.

I doubt they will extend it any farther than it has already been extended....and I just spoke with the Disney Club and word went out at 4:00 PM today that it is extended....not able to be booked yet though. The reason I say this is that Thanksgiving as well as the first week in December is a VERY busy time for Disney. Last year during the first week of Dec everything was sold out due to MVMCP starting and all the FLA residents coming in to see it. Also Christmas through New Years is a wicked busy time for them too.

Okay if they extend it I would like to know something. I'm already booked for 5 days. Is it possible to extend it to 7 and have the price deleted from day 5? Also I have the Silver Plan and would want to extend that as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

1st week of Dec????I thought that was down time. In 2001 it was great....no waits. I didn't go to any extras. Did this change last year? Even in the guides they say the 1st week of Dec it the best.

We went the first weekend in December last year and everything was sold out and I was told it had been all week due to MVMCP starting up. I know everything was sold out because we were trying to switch from POR to CBR and were not able to do it. I didnt want POR for the exact problem we ended up having when we got there. We ended up WAYYYYYYYYY out. I was told time and time again when I called that EVERYTHING was sold out and I was lucky to even have a room for that time frame.

I already had a 7 night package booked thru DU for 11/8-11/15. As soon as I saw the OP last night (about midnight, I think), I emailed my DU agent to tell her what I saw and ask if it is true. She got back to me this morning and said that the rumors appear to be true, but they can't be booked in the system yet. If it's a rumor, why is the info posted on the DU website? I also just read that it's posted on Mousesavers.

My agent said that if it is true (?), she's keeping her eye on it, so that she can change it for us. What I just don't understand is how they (DU) can post the dates as extended, and then tell me that it's still a rumor?

I'll say this, though: this is my 2nd trip to WDW with DU and they, and my agent, Cathy, haven't steered me wrong yet! :D
