I am planning on using Fairy Godmothers for my 5 year old DD while we run the half marathon in November. I noticed Disney used to recommend both Kids Nite Out and Fairy Godmothers but now only KNO. Anyone know why? Also, anyone who could let me know if they have used FG and your experience or recommendation on who to request would GREATLY appreciate it. I'm nervous about this. Thanks so much!!!

I know this isn't really an answer for you but I have used KNO several times and have been very happy. Any particular reason why you didn't choose them? We've had a girl named Heather a couple of times that I really liked but it been a couple of years....not sure if she is still there. (Mid 30s, long, straight dark brown hair)

Kids Nite Out is booked up. I'm on the wait list with them. Thanks for the response. Hopefully they will get an opening.

I had to use a sitter service in Atlanta twice this year. Two things I found helpful for my own sanity: have a phone conversation with the sitter in advance and schedule 30 minutes early so you can watch the sitter interact with your child before leaving (although this may not work in your case with an early morning).

I will tell you that I was super nervous about using a service. The first sitter was a rock star! The hotel staff even told us how well she interacted with our little boy on their trip through the lobby and pool area. The second sitter was not five star, but definitely at least four star.

I felt better using a service because they background check the sitters and ask for reviews after the service has been used.

Thank you for the suggestions. Good to know you have had positive experiences! I'm sure it will be fine.
