Has anyone used their points to stay at the Fairmont?

Better yet, any opinions whether you paid cash or used points?

We've stayed at 4 Fairmont hotels (although not SF) and found them all wonderful. Go to Fairmont.com and price the rooms on their web site to see if its a good value using points or cash. You can usually get a better rate by calling them and asking what they have, but this will get you a starting point.

the SF Fairmont is one of the nicest hotels in the world. IMHO.
