Ok I know this is discussed a lot and I should no but I just want to double check a few things for DH's peace of mind

Is the card accepted every where? I see it is a MasterCard so in theory it's just the same as paying with a master card?

The only charge is if you were to get cash out?

It's easy to top up even when away?

Yep you can use it everywhere that accepts mastercard. No charge for using it for any transaction paid in US dollars. There is a cashpoint withdrawal fee, and you will also be charged a transaction fee for using it for any other currency other than dollars.

As long as you've got online access you can log in anywhere in the world and top up by debit card or online bank transfer!

Yes i love mine i have used it everywhere and no problems

Only charge for cash out and i have an app on my phone to top up or just go to the website, takes max couple of hours

I didn't know there was an app can you check your balance there too x

Its so easy hun, i kmow i promote it alot but gives good rates and so handy

I do draw from atm so i do get charged but im aware of that so oly do it once or twice

We used ours for our trip to New York in march and will be using it in Florida in October. The app is great, so easy to top up while abroad and to check my balance. Would definitely recommend!

This sounds a great idea, if you have some credit remaining is it easy to transfer it back to your bank account and is there a charge for this?

We used our Fairfx cards last year - the boys had one each and DH and I all connected to one account, meant the boys were more in control of their money and the youngest especially loved using the card, not sure if there is an age limit to us youngest was 16. I did not realise that there was an app will down load before we go, already started loading money as the rate this week has been fairly good.

I've just ordered my card and will add on DH, DD and DS once I have it. The section on Family & Friends says anyone over 14 can be added on as a card holder, so DS 15 can have one.

Cards have arrived and we've activated them, along with two phone calls from FairFx to see that I'm aware how they work etc.

Maybe I'm being thick but how do I transfer money from my main card to the family cards I added on? I'm using the iPhone app and can't see a transfer button at all. Do I need to do this on pc instead?

Yes have used them for 7 years now, easy to set up and top up especially now with apps, and they give great rates, I'm new on the boards do don't know if there's a referral restriction, but if not can give a code so you get card free and a bonus top up as long as top up is 75 dollers.

Want good rates and excellent customer service then I would choose them, both me and girlfriend are going 11.08.13 and she is a new user of the cards, she was worried but she is very happy so far, I forgot about referral deal doh but she was topping up more than 200 pounds so got card free anyway.
