Fairfx and ATMs

Having problems withdrawing cash from ATMs. Any hints on which selections we should make I.e is it a checking account or credit account? Have tried both under 'withdrawal' and having no luck!

It said something like 'the selected transaction is not permitted'. That was trying 'withdrawal' then both checking or credit accounts.

When we put the card in says 'chip is not recognised'.

Try putting the card in backwards. I had an issue last month where my card was declined in a store at MK. I went to an ATM and it told me "Chip detected. Insert in reverse" or something along those lines. I turned it the other way around and it let me withdraw the cash. It's a mystery.

I selected Credit.

I struggled with mine but got there eventually - perseverance is key

I have a Fair fx card which we will use in a couple of weeks time so might be useful if it happens to us
