Hi all,

Going to stop in Georgia on our way down this year but not sure where we want to lay our heads for the night. I've narrowed it down to the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Savannah or the FI & S in Kingsland.

Goes anyone have any experience with these hotels? Prefer one over the other? Why?

TIA!

I honestly have never had an issue with any of the Marriott brand of hotels. Fairfield Inn and Suites is their "value" brand, but a very nice hotel, none the less. I always stay with Marriott and love them. I prefer Residence Inn, if possible, but Fairfield Inn has been great as well.

I always check www.tripadvisor.com for reviews, though any hotel will get more bad ones because those are the people that tend to post...... you take all reviews with a grain of salt....

I stayed at the Fairfield by the Savannah AP back at the end of March, the lobby was being renovated so you might want to check to see if that is done. There was another Fairfield at X94 so that does give you another option. Outside of the construction I had no issues, Fairfield tends to be my hotel of choice when I drive up/down 95.

I have also stayed at this hotel by the airport and advise you to stay somewhere else. There was a strong musty smell and they had dehumidifiers all over the place. There is a nice Hampton Inn nearby I like though. I stay at both Fairfields & Hampton Inns on my travels up and down I-95.
