I think I've narrowed it down to these two. We're staying for 3 nights in mid-August. There's four of us and we'll be busy with parks each day so pools don't matter to us. Just want a clean, comfortable room within walking distance to DL. I hear a lot about CCI, but not so much about Fairfield.

Any suggestions???:confused3

I've never stayed at the CCI, but i have stayd at the Inn, and it is amazing! It takes about 5 mins to walk to the disneyland resort sign. We got a disney view room and we could see space mountain! They have a pizza hut inside the hotel, and a mcdonalds and millie's(? not sure if this is the name) on the parking lot basically. The rooms are small but we are a family of four and found it very comfy. We got a room with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa that fits one. The tv was also nice but we didnt watch much because we were always at the parks. You can also see the fireworks from the room if you have a disney view. We loved it so much the first time back in november, that we decided to use it for our big two week trip in june! Whichever you choose, enjoy ur stay!

The Fairfield Inn is awesome! We've stayed there three times and are staying again this July when we go. It's clean, I always feel safe there (even when it is just me and my mom), and it's a very short walk to the parks. Plus if you go home early and still want to catch the fireworks, they are easy to see from some of the higher floors.

Have a great trip!

Definately the fairfield! I have never stayed at the other one, but every time we go to disneyland (5 times total) we stay at the fairfield and like it so much we never bother trying another one. There is a mcdonalds right nextdoor, a family restaurant called Millies in the parking lot, that has good lunch/dinnner and really good Breakfast (my dad LOVES their pancakes) and a pizzahut/seattles best coffee/arcade on the third floor, and a small store right off the lobby that has snacks, drinks, and souvenier type things. We love the fairfield!

Wow!::yes:: Seems like Fairfield is really a favorite for lots of people. Pictures are nice and it seems closer than Candy Cane. I guess I noticed Candy Cane at first from Trip Advisor - it just has SO many reviews. CCI musst "strongly" encourage its guests to post on Trip Advisor.

I've stayed at both and they are both great choices. We've been to CCI once and Fairfield twice. I would like to have stayed at CCI again but Fairfield Inn had lower prices the last couple of times we were booking our trip.

Though CCI has the free breakfast and a cozier ambiance [IMO] than Fairfield, we went the more economical route for our family and booked at Fairfield. Again, whatever you choose I think you'll be happy.

We are staying at the fairfield this week for the second time. i really like it and it was only $102 per night. the walk is only about 5 -7 minutes and parking for guests is free. Stayed at DLH before but I think the fairfield is great for a basic short 3 day trip.

Definitely the Fairfield. Clean, convenient and right now the prices seem to be cheaper.

If pricing is similar -- go with CCI because of the free breakfast. If not, go with Fairfield.

I have stayed at both.

The rooms are the fairfield are a little larger, but I didnt feel they were as nicely decorated. Both have a fridge in room. The fairfield, when we stayed there in 2003, left bottles of water in the fridge and charged a lot for them if you drank them. Both have a bathroom with toilet/ bathtub, then the sick/vanity in another area that makes it easier for everyone to get ready in the morning. CCI has breakfast (con't - muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit, etc). The fairfield does not. They did offer free breakfast for kids at millies with an adult purchase. They are both roughly the same distance from the enterance. CCI has a shuttle that runs every 1/2hour, the fairfield does not.

NOPE! I've stayed with them 4 times in the last 2 years. I have NEVER seen anything about trip advisor any where at the hotel or heard anything about it from any employee. I think people that stay there just really like the property. The grounds are nice, the shuttle is wonderful and the service is great! The hotel has been owned by the same family since 1956. It is their only property. They take great pride in it and it shows.

That's good to hear..we'll be staying there in a couple weeks.

Does either of these resorts have a suite? We have a 18 year old handicapped son who needs to go to sleep alone and early.

No these two do not, however I believe Fairfield will guarantee connecting rooms when requested.

We love CCI for the same reasons mentioned above, but with that being said, we've never stayed at Fairfield Inn.

We have friends that always stay at the Fairfield. They love it. Felt it had a more hotel feel to it, with it being a huge tower. They liked the pool, and the different food places inside/around there.

So I'd probably pick the Fairfield based on what she's told me. From what I've been told the CCI rooms are on the small side, and so is their pool. Further of a walk as well, but they do have their own shuttle.

This is a feature we look for in hotels and something I noticed in both Fairfield and CCI. Having the sink/vanity outside will be especially important when we'll all be trying to get ready and get out the door in a hurry!

Actually for August, CCI is cheaper than Fairfield (CCI Deluxe room $134, Fairfield $143 pay ahead rate, $161 AAA). So I'm surprised to hear most people have found Fairfield to be less expensive.

Trip Advisor is struggling with Hotels that place their own reviews, there are huge number of reviewers who seem to register, place a review the same day then never logon or place another review again. I understand TA is looking to change its rules to try and stamp it out. I have no idea if CCI is one of the hotels under investigation but friends who stayed there were very disappointed that it didn't live up to its TA hype. I got to see the hotel and would have to agree, there's nothing really wrong with the hotel but is it the "best" in Anaheim???? Having said that it does have a really loyal fan base and everyones expectations are different so perhaps it is......

I love the Fairfield, and have encouraged family and friends to stay there.

I have always found it to be clean and the staff very helpful. The walk to DLR is quite short - and you can't beat the access to the restaurants on South Harbour Blvd.

Also the bus stop is just out the front if you want to go to Target or Ross!
