Which one would you to stay in and why?

going with our 7 year old twins, and Grandma.

Hows the pool?

I can get a one bedroom at Vacation Village & Cypress Palms or a 2 bedroom at Orbit one.

help me decide!

Thanks

We have stayed at the Fairfield Cypress Palms. I have only read detailed reviews of the other two. Given that, these would be my preferences, in order:

1. The 2BR only if you plan to spend much time in the room and really feel you need the space. Otherwise...
2. Fairfield Orlando at Cypress Palms - larger 1BR w/full kitchen, washer/dryer and jacuzzi tub (huge rooms).
3. Vacation Village at Parkway - larger 1BR w/full kitchen and washer/dryer.
4. Fairfield Orlando at Cypress Palms - smaller 1BR w/mini-kitchen (smaller appliances but fully equipped), washer/dryer and standard bath.
5. Vacation Village at Parkway - smaller 1BR w/kitchenette and standard bath.
6. Orbit One - 2BR.

You may read my write-up of our recent trip to FFO@CP on this thread to see why we liked it so much. Very guest-friendly, very clean, with every amenity we needed. Do note the descriptions of both 1BR sides to try to determine which you would have.

VV@P also has very positive reviews among timeshare owners. It has the location in its favor as well, about 3-5 min. closer to the parks, just across Rte 192 from the entrance to the town of Celebration. The smaller 1BRs here don't have an inroom washer/dryer. We'd miss this since it enables us to pack lighter and bring home clean clothes with minimal effort. The reviews I've read have not mentioned any problem with service but they have not described the extra-nice guest-friendliness that we experienced at FFO@CP either. This is why I gave the FF the edge.

OO has somewhat iffy reviews. It's an older property and some folks complained of thin walls, limited amenities and indifferent service. The rooms are reportedly very spacious and this resort is located near the Golden Corral in Kissimmee, if that helps you place it. On the plus side, guests do have visiting privileges at their sister resort, Liki Tiki - Ron Jon, which has a nicer pool area with a few kids' waterslides - probably fun for the 7 year olds. It's not next door (would need to drive there) but may offer a nice diversion on a day when you don't plan to visit the theme parks. HTH!

Not all one bedrooms at Vacation Village or Cypress Palms are the same. Some are small lockoff units.

Make sure the one bedroom has a FULL kitchen (not partial). The full kitchen one bedroom units at both locations are bigger and better appointed. The smaller unit may have a smaller bed (queen instead of King) and will not have a jacuzzi tub. I'm not sure if the smaller one bedroom units have their own washer and dryer. The small units at Cypress Palms do not have a balcony.

Vacation Village and Cypress Palms combines the larger one bedroom unit with the smaller unit to create a two bedroom unit.

Do a search and look at the floor plans for both so you know what you are getting into. I usually will try for a two bedroom unit since on Skyauction, I usually get dumped in the smallest one bedroom unit.

I think the small one bedroom lockoffs will be uncomfortable for four.

I'd choose Cypress Palms or Vacation Village at Parkway. Orbit one is older, but still nicely kept. If all were equal, I'd choose newer over older.
