Fairfax Fare at DHS

We visited Fairfax Fare for the first time in February of this year. I had the ribs and brisket, which weren't very flavorful and were pretty dry but they weren't completely terrible either.

My mom had the ribs and chicken:

It looked more like a rubber chicken to me, but she didn't really have any complaints. :confused3

In retrospect, I wish I had opted for the salad but I don't remember seeing it on the menu at the time. At any rate, given the lack of choices, I still don't think it's the worst counter service at DHS.

Just got back from my trip and ate there quite a few times better pork sandwich then flametree. It has really improved the offerings at DHS.:thumbsup2

My 20 year-old son would really like this. I guess we'll have to give it a try next trip!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone for the comments (and pictures). Soooo good to know DHS has another counter-service option.

Had the chicken & ribs in April, DH had the chicken & brisket. It's decent, but it's not Flame Tree:sad1:. Ribs were similar to Cosmic Ray's in MK, chicken was a little dry, brisket was OK.

I'd eat there again, the food was decent and plentiful (only 1/4 chicken on the combo plate, not half like at Cosmic Ray's). The portions are enough to split, IIRC came with sides of cole slaw and beans.

I had the Fairfax salad in May and I loved it! It's officially my new favorite counter service item (excluding desserts! ;) anywhere in WDW. It's like a cross between a taco salad and like a southwestern type salad with corn. Really tasty.

Is the Jalapeno ranch dressing really spicy? Did it come already mixed in? I'm not sure how chili and ranch go together...

Are there any other side dish choices @ Fairfax? My son won't eat beans or cole slaw. What about fries or onoin rings? Thanks

The dressing was on the side when I got it and I actually didn't even use it. I didn't think it was needed as the chili made the salad moist enough and I'm not a huge ranch fan in general.
