Hi Folks!! I do not have it in me to do a full fledge trip report but I will give you some tidbits of our First Family Disney vacation!!!

We traveled to the World from Septeber 21-27, 2008. DH, DD8 and me!!

We arrived at the Polynesian at 12:00. The nice CM behind the counter said we were getting upgraded to Lagoon view!!! I can feel the pixie dust falling on my head!! I am soooo excited! Unfortunatily, our room was not ready and we did not even know which room we would be in. They told me to call back every hour to find out. No problem!! We went to the pool area so my DD could swim. Now, you have to understand, I am the type of person who cannot do anything until I am settled in. So, I call every hour. 1:00 room not ready. 2:00 room not ready but said it should be done by 3:00. 3:00 room not ready but told me we were going to be in Aereotoea (sp) longhouse. So, needless to say, I carry myself and our carryon luggage to Aerotorea building to check it out - surelly they will have our room ready soon!!! Garden Grocer calls at 3:15. Delivers milk, water, snacks, juice and 2 cases of adult beverages to the 2nd floor sitting area in Aereotoea. I'm a little (lot) freaked out about the milk sitting out!!! What can I do??? My DH and DD have left me stranded on the 2nd story balcony with luggage, groceries and no way to get ahold of them!!!! 4:00 call about the room - not ready!!! Explain to them that check in is at 3 and am told by a very rude CM that it can be up to 5!! We are going to have alot of sour milk on our hands...........

4:30 Room ready. Room 2222 - no balcony or patio. Now, as nicelly as I could, because I really wasn't feeling it at this point, I told the CM that I had 1, and 1 preference only on my reservation, and that was a patio or balcony. She puts me on hold. She comes back and says YES MAM!!! We have a room on the first floor!!! Woohooo baby -we're in!!! I start lugging all my groceries and luggage to the first floor!!

Along comes the nice gentleman delivering our luggage from the airport. He wants to deliver it to the original room 2222. I say oh no sir, they have moved us to the first floor # 1026. "Lady, that room is NOT in this building!!" Oh my goodness, now where do I have to drag all this stuff!!!! He says we are on the other side of the resort!!! YIKES - wheres DD & DH so I can tell them!!! The nice man offers to take all my stuff on his cart to the other longhouse but my family is no where to be found! DD comes around the corner -whew! Go get your father sweetie because we are moving!! We pull up to Tahiti!!!!

I think to myself 'self, you have read about THIS longhouse on the DIS - it must be good'. I was a little upset about how far away it seemed from everything. My DD and DH really liked where the other longhouse was located - close to the GCH and arcade. I was a little nervous that maybe I should have sucked it up not having a patio or balcony.

Needless to say, by the end of my trip, we LOVED Tahiti!!

Backup, we walked into the building, into our room, opened the curtain and there was the castle!!!! We could see the castle from our room!!! We loved being able to watch the fireworks from our room and patio!!! Having our own private beach was fabulous also. We loved it! It was very nice to be so close to the TTC at the end of a long day.

I have to warn ya all though - if you stay on the 1st floor - beware of lizards in your shower!!! My husband thought mousekeeping left plastic ones in your shower to be cute! It kind of startled him when it moved! I would have fainted if I had been the one to find it.

Once we were in our room in Tahiti I began to unpack. The rooms at the Poly are large and we had plenty of room!

We headed off to the Magic Kingdom. We ate supper at Crystal Palace and it was good. Not great but good. DD would have preferred not to peel his shrimp..... we are used to peel and eat.

Le Celliar Dinner - *****(5) DH did not like it at all!! He would have loved a normal salad and baked potato!! Can't teach them nothing
Coral Reef Dinner - ***** (5) DH not impressed here either

Kona Breakfast - ******(6)
Capt Cooks Breakfast - ******(6)
Chef Mickeys Breakfast - Canceled ( I know, I know, I know.... )

DH is hard to please I guess. I'm gonna have to start giving him some awful suppers so he appreciates when we go out to eat!!!

We ended up using all our TS, leaving 5 CS behind, and used 9 snack credits before we left just on chocolate eared Mickey rice crisy treats!! We did not eat as much as I thought we would. We were on the DDP. I might not buy the DDP next time though. I did not feel it was worth it not getting an appetizer and having to leave our own tip. Next time it will just be OOP the whole trip!!!!! Chalk 1 up to experience.

Almost forgot......

Flametree BBQ CS - *********(9) Did not care for the beans

San Angel CS Epcot - **********(10) Thought it was great!!

As you have been reading, the crowds were great all week! Longest wait time was 10 minutes and we barelly used FP - no need to!

BTW - Don't understand what the big hype is about Toy Story Mania. Did not think it was that great at all!! I would have been very disappointed if I had wasted my time in line for that one.

LOVED Rock n roller coaster, Expedition Everest, Splash Mt, Space Mt. Against popular belief on the DIS board once again - we loved Stitch and went on it twice.

No love bugs except for Friday at AK. Did not get into AK that much either......
