I joined a few months ago. I have found that Facebook is best for keeping up with your high school friends who weren't really your friends in high school.

That's funny. I was just commenting to my wife last night about some of the people that have asked me to be friends, that I'm fairly sure I never spoke to in high school.

I have an account, I update my status several times a day and occasionally play pathwords or scramble. I also don't throw snowballs, send plants, drinks, etc... I have used it to get in touch with people that I have lost contact with and to share photos updates with family.

Yup, I am there. Every night. Sometimes well into early morning! Texas Hold-Em poker is my game. Other than that, I USUALLY dont involve myself in the snowball fights, etc....

I'm addicted the RPG games. Mafia Wars, Pirates, Mob Wars, Might of Many. I don't bother much with the snowball and drinks and stuff. I've found a lot of friends from high school that I haven't seen in 20 years. Same with some friends I worked with 10-15 years ago.

Great way to stay in touch with people.

There are a few photo groups that do contests that I've participted in.

As for adding friends for the games, once they are part of your mob, crew, what ever, you can delete them as a friend yet they still stay part of your mb, crew or what ever.

If anyone wants to add me as a friend send me a PM. I too just joined that disney photo group, doesn't look like there is anything going on there though.

I have a few DISers on there as friends. One is from England and we have never met but she is funny and sends me a lot of fun things on there. It's a cool thing that I nver thought I would enjoy but I do.

I just joined a few weeks ago. I check in every day, play a few games, but don't use the extras at all yet. I just went and joined the disboard photographers group. There is also a DIS Official Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=26992052247 and a DIs Unplugged group http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-DIS/61114821896 I haven't checked out any photo groups yet.

I fairly recently went on there but am kind of ashamed about it. I'm generally pretty anti most of the "social sites" - I have less than no use for Myspace, but I find Facebook not quite as annoying.

I do tend to be a grumpy curmudgeon and refuse to use any of the apps or do any of the notes that you get tagged on sometimes, like the "25 things" one that is running around now.

I was pretty disappointed in their photo capabilities. I was hoping that I could write a note and hotlink to a photo hosted on my own site, but on the summary pages, it strips the photo out. Furthermore, it resizes the photo when you are able to get it. Any photos uploaded to their own gallery are also shrunk to tiny proportions. At this point, I've been much given up trying to share any of my photography over there and just put in a couple pictures of my kid once in a while.

Like others have said, it is strange sometimes who tries to "friend" you - and if someone is just a passing acquaintance, what do you do? I think you're pretty much stuck friending them even if you barely know them.

Friend request sent. I'm only at level 11 on that game with 121 crew. This particular game is SOOO much easier to add new crew. Mafia and Mob wars are more of a pain.

This really bothers me too. But I found that if you click on Live Feed on the right, it puts things in their proper order. I'm a proper order person.
