Facebook Disney wedding site frustration

wow. I have FB and so does my fiancee, but most of our families do not and will have no part of it. I am still waiting for my FB app to "be approved" as we just signed our agreement for Jan 2012. I am also nervous about our tickets for 2012 not being available until next OCTOBER??? thats absurd when they announce the following years rates in july. I already have family calling to make reservations which was enough hassel to get over that year+ hump.... ugh. If DFTW wants to "join the times" with facebook it needs to be flawless or offer their traditional methods.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. The FB website thing was announced shortly after our DFTW website went up. We are not FB people, and I didn't want to even set up a FB site.

However, the DFTW that was set up for us did not give us the flexibility we wanted, so we signed up for a phony FB account. THAT didn't give us the flexibility either, because you couldn't add the tabs that we wanted (park info, ticket info, dining info, etc.)

So in the end, we are going to set up our own website (through one of the wedding "free" website builders), and customize it ourselves.

If a person you invite is not on FB, they can't access anything unless they create a FB account. I know my father and my mother are not going to do that, but they are computer-savvy enough to go to a website I link them to, and wander around there (and they're only 55/60).

Sometimes technology is just not all that it's cracked up to be.
