Face Painting (time?)

I've got another question about the face painting booth at the entrance to ToonTown. Does it open when the park opens? Or does it open after the rope drop at ToonTown (10:00)?

I'm not sure but I'd say it opens when the rest of TT opens. Please know that those face paintings aren't water proof. I got my DGD's done one time and it lasted maybe 30 minutes. She got all hot & sweaty and forgot about her face being painted and wiped her forhead and down the side of her face. This was after she had to forgo Kali River Rapids because we didn't want her face to get wet. She also would not have been able swim during our afternoon break, but as it was, we washed her up and she went swimming anyway since the work was ruined. If I were to have it done again, I would wait until after the breaktime so she'd get to wear it at least until bedtime. Otherwise, it's not worth the time & money.

Oh, I just wanted to add that the Henna Tattoos from Morrocco were well worth the money and would be an excellent alternative. DGD had to forgo an afternoon swim for one of those too, but they last much, much longer. About 2 weeks.

Thanks for the warning! We're going next weekend, so I don't think hot and sweaty will be too much of an issue - maybe worry that it will freeze to her face And this will be a quick weekend trip for us, just one day at MK. The only thing that may be an issue is Splash Mountain, which is her favorite ride, but she always ducks underneath her jacket, so the only thing that's ever wet is her backside.

I'll have to remember that though when we go back in May, as I'm sure she'll want to do it again.

I think your DD may be related to me. That's how I ride Splash too!
