Hi guys,
I'm a mom with two pre & teen daughters (12 & 13) and they post here, but before I get into it with them, I figured I'd get your opinions first.
Me and one of the other moms on the other boards were talking about the face painting and I wanted to know how many of you teens still get the designs painted on your faces? The last time they had it done was two years ago, and it looks so cool with really awesome designs, but before I go and rub it in and beg them to get it done, tell me, do you still get it done?
Thanks :confused3

I personally wouldn't do it. I"m 13. I may at Wdw though. I always feel younger there!

i would never get it done.
at WDW or anywhere.

a) i'd rather be going on the rides
b) i hate the feeling of their paint on my face
c) i'm getting to old for that kind of thing
d) i don't like their designs.

The last time I got my face painted I was about your daughters' age. I had pixie dust painted on my face. It was cool. I don't get it done anymore though. About 2 years ago I got a airbrush "tattoo" on my leg done in MGM. I got a fairy design done (not tinkerbell though). And last year I had henna butterfly done on my wrist in the Morocco pavillion at Epcot..

I'd might get it done and I'm 14. I'd have to see if they have any designs I might like first tho! :thumbsup2

i got it done on my 12th birthday. I had a butterfly. and I went to the 50's Prime Time, and they kept making fun of me. it was cool tho.

I'm 12 and I definitley wouldn't get it done outside of WDW but maybe in one of the Disney parks. It would have to be small and not all over my face. And it would have to be a cool design. And when you're in Disney..you don't know anyone and you probably won't see them again so it's okay if they make fun of you haha. I say go for it :thumbsup2, but if they don't want it done don't make them because maybe it's not that great of an idea.

I don't know. I think that if Mom and I were feeling silly, we might go do it together, because we're at Disney and you feel really young there, but otherwise I don't think I would do it.

I would get my face painted there if my parents were paying. If I had to pay for it myself I wouldn't..

when you got your tattoo can yu have them write a word or something or just the things they have there?

Thanks for your votes, everyone :wave2:
First off, I can't believe I have kids that are 12 & 13. Sometimes I still think I'm 22! The time flies by so fast. You will see, when you are parents, that you still get all excited over certain things even when your kids grow out of them. All of us parents sometimes wish for the innocence of your early childhood to remain - at least a little.
For a lot of adults that innocence comes back after the kids are out of the house and off to college (or you just never get rid of it, like me; just ask my kids!) So whenever you see a goofy adult, that's the reason!

Of course I will not push them to get their faces painted, but when we pass by the booth, I will suggest it

i would love to get my face painted but my mom won't let me. corny huh? she says its always too hot and it'll get washed away with sweat and then it'll be ruined. but, i get my hair done at the barber shop on main street in the magic kingdom. its not that expensive, i usually get french braids then a painted mickey mouse head w/ tons of confetti! it looks really cute. i have actually seen older girls have it done so its something cool for all pre-teens and teens. so if you don't wanna spend like $10 bucks for a face painting job that lasts a day and get your hair done that'll stay in for like a week, then you might find a new something to get everytime at at WDW! :)

Nope. I would much rather get a air brush tatoo. It lasts longer and is the same price.

I dont get face paintings because I already have acne and dont need anymore of it!!!

i never got it done in the parks but i would yes im a big baby but getting your face painted in disney world is heaven! :)

Wow, I didn't know that the girls could get The Treatment at the barber shop!
My husband got it done and my girls thought it was cool. Not many people know about that :thumbsup2 Everyone was asking where he got it done.

As for the face painting, I thought it would be a waste of money especially in the melting heat, but surprisingly, the makeup did not run and the girls' makeup stayed all day and night.

Here's some photo's of my daughters with their face paint. Tori has never gotten her whole face done, just stuff on the cheeks. Kyralyn really liked the tiger, she got it done twice! (These pics are a few years old)
