Will we be alble to do face painting for MNSSHP? My kids love to get their faces panited and it's a perfect time. I am thinking of having them dress as pirates -really just a cool pirate t-shirt and bandana and other accessories. They can bring their halloween costumes and wear if they prefer but I am worried it'll be too hot. They will likely have one of thoose full body super-hero ones (like Spiderman, Power Ranger, etc).

Do you think the lines will be extra-long in MK? Is there anywhere at DTD to get it done?

Our plans for the day are a quick stop at EPCOT for morning EMH to hit Soarin and Test Track (unless by some miracle the kids sleep in). Then we will go back to SSR for a relaxing pool day and late lunch. We will head to MK between 2 and 4pm.

Thanks!

Do you have annual passes? If so, cool plan, if not--do you really want to burn a park admission for a "quick stop" in Epcot? I have done that in the past not realizing what a waste of a park admit it was, I'm not meaning to be critical. We are going to do DTD and the pool then go to MK at 4 when our tickets for the party will allow us to get in.
As for face painting--YES! They will have a couple spots for it, I don't think it starts till closer to 7, we plan to be on line to get it done as early as possible--the lines get pretty long as I recall. It is free and there was a spot in Adventureland and one in Toon Town. The locations should be marked on the party map. We didn't do it last year, but saw so many cute faces, we are really looking forward to it this year!!
Enjoy!!!

I know what you mean. I will only be going before 4 IF we opt for a hopper, and plan to hop not on just this day. Still undecided.

So it's free face painting. Cool. I think we paid around $15 in 2007 (not MNSSHP).

Please note that the face painting done for free during MNSSHP is not the same as the painting you can pay for normally in the parks. It's not as elaborate or full face. The girl doing our last year said she could do anything as long as it took 2 minutes or less. They have a board out with samples of work...normally just painting around the eyes. They do a beautiful job...we did it right away last year and avoided the line...but it was very simple compared to the full face lion that ds had gotten the day before in DAK.

So do you think the pay face painting place will be open as well? Or is there a place in DTD? Anyone know.

We've done it the past few years and never waited very long.....I think everyone jets straight there when the party begins and the lines get long but we go trick or treat some and then ride some rides and get our face painted before the parade. Not sure why the lines have never been that long when we've went....either time of year or the fact that we wait, still it's been fun.

Not sure about the timing thing....it didn't take long (they are very good and very quick) but she did do a whole face Tigger for him, a Pirate for my middle son and 2 princess faces for my dd's. All were AWESOME and I couldn't believe they were FREE.

Here is our Tigger:

Yes, there is a face painting kiosk in DTD. I don't remember exactly where it is but I'm sure you can ask and find out. I also stayed at SSR. My sister and I drove over to DTD, got our faces painted around 3 p.m. then we went to MK for 5 p.m. dinner before going to the MNSHP. Have fun!
