Face Cleanser

Cetaphil here too; it was recommended to me and has done very very well keeping outbreaks away. I do have to always moisturize though, as it will dry me out a bit if I don't.

I have super sensitive skin, plus redness/sensitivity from rosacea, and I use Cetaphil cleanser. My skin used to be fairly oily, but using the Cetaphil 2x a day has really helped reduce that. I also use the Cetaphil cream (in the tub) to moisturize at night and Clinique Daily Defense (I think) in the mornings. I've found both Cetaphil products at Sam's Club if you have a membership.

I lather my hair up and use whatever left over lather is in my hands and wash my face with that.

Have had perfectly clear skin since I started doing this about 10 years ago

I use a bar of an African black soap that my store (Harris Teeter) sells. It doesn't dry me out like most other cleansers do and it removes makeup pretty easily. I just use water in the morning.

I use BareMinerals Purifying Facial Cleanser--I LOVE IT! My skin looks and feels so much better. I got this and 2 facial creams as part of a TSV on QVC. I used to get the occasional zit and have not had any issues in the 3 months I have been using this. I recently purchased a Clarasonic Facial Brush also from QVC--- using with that cleanser my face has never looked or felt better.

I am also a Cetaphil fan....both my sons use the generic store brand of this and their complexions look great--these are teenage boys who play sports and don't like washing their face. I had my oldest try my clarasonic (different brush head of course) and he thought it did a good job. It shuts off after 1 minute so I know he is scrubbing for that long!

I've used nearly every cleanser on the market unsuccessfully.

Recently I made a homemade sugar scrub of olive oil, lemon juice, and white sugar. I scrub every night, wash it off with warm water, than rub in coconut oil to leave on overnight. I literally haven't had a breakout in 6 weeks!

I can only use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (not the one for oily skin and it has to be the liquid pump kind).

Ok, I also will vouch for Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash. I used it as well for awhile and I DID like it, but Cetaphil really worked better for me because it was cheaper. Bliss makes some very good products. I use their shower gel and their lotion - love em.

I use the oil cleanse method I think it's called.. it's worked best for me. I take about 50/50 castor oil and extra extra virgin olive oil mix. Rub on my face, put a hot wash cloth over my face to open up the pores, then rub it in a bit more and wipe off the excess. I've found this works for me where all the commercial cleaners do not and I know it seems counter intuitive, but it leaves my previously not oil skin very non-oily and soft.

I've also been using the oil cleansing method for the last year or so, but use 25% castor and 75% extra virgin olive oil. Took a bit to get the right mix for my skin. Never had the greatest skin, but now it's always soft and never ever dried out anymore. So easy and so inexpensive with awesome results. Wish I had known about this years ago.

I have oily skin,and break out easily scared1 I can only use Neutrogena 2% salicylic acid wash ,it's orange,in a small pump bottle,I also use the generic equivalent at WM or CVS or Target it works better than anything else I've ever tried-
plus Oil of Olay Defense cream fragrance free- keeps me looking as good as anything can,at my age!
In the past,I've tried just about every face thing for acne,wrinkles,etc.-proactiv,etcetcetc- this face wash works better.....and it's cheap!

Can you provide a link so I can see a picture of the Neutogena and Oil of Olay products? There are so many products and I dont want to waste any more money on the wrong one. I too have the same skin as you and have wasted so much money over the years on products. Thanks.

Cetaphil! It's the greatest. Our drug store makes a store brand version with the exact same formula. It's a few dollars cheaper. Everyone in the family uses it (with the exception of my 7 yr old), it's gentle and great for most skin types.

Several years ago, my dermatologist told me to use Cetaphil. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts, from acne and a viral condition. I can purchase it in a large bottle twin pack at Sam's Club for about $18.

i use clean & clear deep action cream cleanser for sensitive skin.

i use cetaphil in the shower. I use it only after i use a wipe (oil of olay, or others) to remove any makeup I may have. I found that the cetaphil didn't always get off all of my makeup (Jane Iredale). I use Pevonia eye makeup remover. My eyes and the skin around my eyes is very sensitive so this has worked best for me.
If I need to exfoliate, I use Buff Puff disposables - for sensitive skin. I use this about every other day.
