My son is on the autism spectrum and doesn't do so well with people so I didn't make any ADRs with face characters. Well, at the Halloween Party at our zoo there were tons of characters to get your picture taken with and he did awesome with Cinderella! He even gave her a hug. So now I'm trying every day to find an ADR for our trip the week after Thanksgiving.

So these are the ones I'm looking at, any will do: Cinderell's Castle, 1900 Park Fare, Akershus. Are there any other face character meals? I know it will be just about impossible to find one this late but I'm going to try for some Disney magic pixiedust:

Those are the only face character meals. There are others with Mickey & Friends and Playhouse Disney characters, but if you want face to face interaction, I recommend either 1900 or Akershus. These ones tend to be a little less crowded than CRT

We already have ADRs for Chef Mickey's, Biergarten, Crystal Palace, 'Ohana, and Boatwrights. I'd cancel one or two of them if I manage to get a face character meal. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Tusker House has Donald and friends in AK. Cape May over in the Beach Club has Goofy and friends for breakfast and Hollywood and Vine in HS has Handy Mandy and friends. 1900 Park Fare the wicked step sisters scared the dickens out of our cousins daughter and she 5. :surfweb:

there is also 1900 park fare breakfast with mary poppins, alice, and the mad hatter.

Thanks but I'm looking for a meal with the princesses or Alice in Wonderland. Someone who can talk with my son.

Woohoo! I just snagged Akershus  I didn't realize that I had to confirm with a credit card. It will only be charged if we don't show correct?

Correct.

I would recommend the 1900 Park Fair breakfast; fantastic interaction! Mad Hatter might give him a bit of a scare though, he's a little nutty!

There are so many good places to take the kids. Guess I'll just have to start planning our next trip as soon as we finish the upcoming one.....

My nephew is also autistic but we really got him into the Disney spirit by having him watch any Disney movie he could handle. Now he loves Cinderella. He would scream to his mom to go to "Auntie's and watch Cinderella" and would watch it over and over again. I finally had to get him his own DVD last Christmas.

I hope your son has a great time and interacts well with the face characters.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was really nervous about taking him to Disney but after hearing from so many people on here I know we'll manage to have a great time. :hippie:
